On January 16, 2019, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Royal Opera House’s Costume Department to learn more information about the textiles they use to create costumes. The Royal Opera House creates and conserves thousands of opera and ballet costumes per season – with up to 600 costumes used in each production on stage. I love this outfit! Not to big a fan of the shoes as personally I don’t like patent leather or buckles on my shoes but it’s different!
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI am sure princess Charlotte would have loved to join her mom on this visit.. Love the color of the suit... Tiny waist but the duchess is glowing.. I guess being around ballet dancers brings out the best in you!
ReplyDeleteI think Kate looks gorgeous as always. I like the suit and its color but what's really throwing me off with this look is the heels and tights I just don't like them together. This engagement was fun and interesting to look at I hope she becomes a patron to ballet soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour paired with the opaque tights and the shoes. The style of the jacket is great but personally, I think a straighter or longer skirt would be better. I find the style of this skirt a bit "girly ingenue - but then Catherine is often criticised for dressing too conservatively so... Just my personal preference.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with you that the overall look would be better if the twirly little skirt were toned down a bit. It's a very cute outfit -- but Catherine graduated from cute to beautiful some time ago. This jacket and skirt could be tweaked into a classic stunner that would travel beautifully with her through the years.
DeleteThe Duchess Catherine stilvoll gekleidet und bezaubernd wie immer !!
ReplyDeletewonderful dress, wonderful style with the dark tights. She knows how to do good :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteBravo for the makeup and the hair. The esemble is a rare miss for me, especially the skirt is meh.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cute look! Good color and line - but I wish that the waistline of the top was at her waistline so the peplum would flare out from there. I am surprised because I would think with that designer the clothes would be made to her measurements. She is lucky to be able to see the beautiful fabrics and the workshop. Fascinating!
ReplyDeleteHer Personal Assistant is a very elegant Lady. Respect.
ReplyDeleteQue bonita está Catalina! El detalle de los zapatos fueron creados por "Vivier"lo máximo en calzado
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of this. Just like her red Paule Ka suit, I think the skirt is too short. I think because the sleeves are shorter and the skirt is short, they give the suit a shrunken feeling. A longer, straight skirt would have been more flattering. I also really dislike the solid black tights and the shoes. A semi-opaque tight would have been better if she wanted to wear shoes, but I love the idea of boots or booties with this even more. I really dislike the shoes, especially when she has so many other nicer shoes to choose from. I am loving that she is moving away from clutches and going with small handbags.

ReplyDeleteI love everything about her outfit except that I think the waist of her jacket is too high by an inch or two. I also think her skirt should be mid knee to make it fit her tall frame better. It just looks off the rack this way. But the color, her hair makeup, shoes and tights are divine and enviable. 😊
ReplyDeleteI only like the color, the jacket seems shrunken or a size too small, although I am sure that it's not the case, the skirt reminds me of a skater. Love the the shoes, but the opaque thighs spoil their look. Good hair & makeup, and bravo for not sporting a clutch.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteTrès chic and she has got a figure like a ballerina.
ReplyDeleteshe wears the same clothes in different colours, she needs to style up gosh!!!!
