On January 9, Wednesday, Crown Princess Victoria visited Life Guards (Livgardet) in Kungsängen. During her visit, the Crown Princess got information about activities of Life Guards and also about the 13th Security Battalion organization and its operations. |
The 13th Security Battalion is a unit working for peacekeeping and peace-enforcement tasks. Their task is to manage the five generic security threats: crime, subversion, intelligence, sabotage and terrorism. It contains units from the Army, the Amphibious Corps and the Swedish Air Force. During her visit to Livgardet, the Crown Princess also tested Robot 57 at the simulator department. |
The Life Guards Regiment is the largest unit of the Swedish Armed Forces, and their tasks involve a large number of diverse responsibilities such as ceremonial duties and counter intelligence missions. |
The Life Guards Regiment trains and contributes military and civilian personnel for national and international missions. Its battalions work in a variety of areas such as security threats and woodland and urban warfare. The regiment is also responsible for training Sweden's military police. |
She looks adorable. I know that's not the right words to describe a future queen, but still. I really like the second photo.
ReplyDeleteShe often wears the same clothes as the soldiers when she goes out to meet them. I think it must be rather practical and a good way to avoid any wardrobe malfunctioning when she is trying the equipment or walking around the regiment. And, it suits her.
DeleteLa tenue militaire est elle forcément de rigueur ? Franchement je ne pense pas
ReplyDeletePrincesa muy trabajadora:se conecta con diferentes regiones y personas:tiene conocimiento su pais
ReplyDeleteShe don't just look good in Gala dresses but also in Military gear, combat boots and and camouflage. You go Victoria.
ReplyDeleteAnd her earrings add a feminine touch to the combat gear.
