On December 18, 2018, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a Christmas visit to the Biloba House which is a living space for old people in Schaerbeek. The BILOBA House is a meeting point and living space dedicated to old people in Brabant district of Schaarbeek, which is located near Brussels. |
No, no, no for the outfit
ReplyDeleteEin wunderschönes, weihnachtliches Muster. Schade, dass daraus kein Kleid geworden ist..
ReplyDeleteOh dear! She probably thought that the best thing to wear to an old age home is grand pa-style pyjamas, a little stylised ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I don't like this outfit. The colours suit her but the jacket looks quite tight to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with Natan that it often doesn't fit? And using stiff and heavy fabric... Same story with Maxima. Often too tight, also with dresses and skirts. The two queens work with Natan for years, so their clothing should fit them as a glove!
But that's my opinion.
Well I don't think it is too tight in this case.
DeletePerhaps not too tight, but I do think it makes her look bigger, even a bit bulky, than she is and that's a pity.
DeleteIt's not Natans fault. The designer can create clothes to look and feel any way he likes and wants. Plenty of his clothing look perfectly fine on the correct body and personality who wears it.
DeleteIt is up to the purchaser of his clothing to ensure that the clothes they buy suit them, and/or have them altered to give them the proper look/shape/fit they desire. These aren't bespoke pieces or couture.
Mooi pak maar de broek is te lang -10cm
ReplyDeleteI really wish Natan would go bankrupt so they couldn't design those awful clothes anymore.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh!
DeleteWell I like it, I think the pattern is innovative, the colour suits the queen very well and I like her hair style. Yes reservations for the length of the pants.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about this - for me it would look better with either the top or bottom in the check and the other bit plain. Otherwise it's a bit sofa in a Scottish hunting lodge.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking no belt on the jacket and solid black pants would look better.
ReplyDeleteWhen she was seated and you could only see the top I thought she looked quite nice. But upon seeing the full ensemble, this doesn't work on Mathilde. I'm fine with the outfit the model is wearing... in a youthful, quirky kind of way, but the model and Mathilde are not the same; opposites in many, many ways.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts entirely. I thought the top was nice and assumed it to be either a dress or a top with plain skirt/trousers. The overall view was a bit of a shock!. Not a good look :-(
DeleteEvery thing is ok for me the hair , the color and the top except the pants. I think dark green or black pants would be much better than the all pattern outfit.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI see art imitating life. I've been studying maps and geography lately. I like the Queen's version better than the runway version.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks nice on Mathilde. I would have liked a solid color pants with this jacket. But she can pull it off.
ReplyDeleteThis is a shame...the jacket is lovely and with a pencil skirt in dark coordinating green, Queen Mathilde would look fabulous. The plaid pants are the problem, imo. They even look terrible on the model.
ReplyDeleteMathilde's hair is beautiful here!
Coincido con "Anonimo 11'08" la chaqueta hermosa, impecable peinado el pantalón en verde a tono o negro:le quedaría impecable
ReplyDeleteWow! Tartan overload! The top on its own would have been fine, but a whole tartan ensemble is overkill, big time!
