In the evening of December 6, 2018, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended an official dinner at Riga Castle (Rīgas pils), hosted by President Raimonds Vējonis and First Lady Iveta Vējone. The Danish culture minister also attended the dinner. (Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visit Latvia to celebrate the country's 100th anniversary of independence) |
Mary completely rocks this stunningly elegant pantsuit which seems perfect for the occasion. I love her unusual updo, so smooth and contemporary-looking, perfect with the jacket and pants. Am thinking that there must be a genius hairdresser on hand for quick changes of hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteStunning ensemble and Mary's hair and makeup is very elegant too. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteElegant Look, different colours than usual. I*m not so shure about the colors and the white shirt and the neckline.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket is not really inspiring me, but it fits her.
ReplyDeleteNice elegant look but a black blouse would have improved it
ReplyDeleteBlack top would be better and I don't like her hair like this, something wrong. I like the cut of this jacket, little mix like vintage and classy.
ReplyDeleteAch, nee. Die Kombi Hose und Dinner passt nicht. Schade. Wo bleibt da das feminine?
ReplyDeleteLuvvvv the look Mary beautiful as always
ReplyDeleteThis outfit doesn't do it for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is refreshingly different, and at the same time absolutely appropriate for the occasion. I still don´t like it 100%. The jacket´s either a bit tight (it looks pulled at the closure), or the cut is odd with too much gaping, especially further down. And I agree that the white shirt underneath wasn´t the ideal choice.
ReplyDeleteMary looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNot her best look, but very nice hair
ReplyDeleteIt's not my taste, but for a fashion-risky outfit, she nails it. Like her hair, it suits her.
ReplyDeleteWhat horrible, horrible look for Mary! Worst dressed royal this year.
ReplyDeleteElegant outfit for Mary, but a different top would have been better, I think.
ReplyDeleteStrange outfit. It doesn't suit her at all.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, worst dressed to a royal event.
DeleteNot my cup of tea for a gala event. But it’s trendy I suppose. She may very well be bored of so many dresses and old school outfits. Still, it’s not like she couldn’t find something fresh and more appropriate. But the hair style makes up for the less inspired outfit.

Like you, Lily, I am not a fan of trousers for a formal occasion but have to concede that Mary looks great in this outfit. Her hair is very flattering too.
DeleteAlso - beautiful dining hall. Very nicely done by the Latvian folks.

Umm....NO!
ReplyDeleteI think the First Lady looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit n hair style. Always a tune to the scene.
