Queen Sofia celebrated her 80th birthday with a concert

In the evening of November 2, 2018, Emeritus Queen Sofia of Spain and King Juan Carlos of Spain attended a concert held by The Reina Sofia School of Music to mark Queen Sofia’s 80th birthday. Princess Pilar de Borbon, Princess Alia of Jordan, Queen Noor of Jordan, King Constantine of Greece, Queen Anne Marie of Greece and Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran were also present at the concert.

    Wonderful lady, royal in and out. Such a role model, dignified, quiet and carrying. One of my favourite royals, reminds me a lot of Her Majesty QE2.

    I am pretty sure that I see Farah, the former Empress of Iran, among the attendees. Such a gracious and dignified person in her own right, who has known tremendous sorrow. It is nice to see her here, smiling and among friends.
