Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is currently in Argentina to attend the G20 summit held between the dates of November 29, Thursday and December 1 in Buenos Aires. 1. What do you mean Anonymous? More brilliant than she? This is a nice outfit, ok. The hair style is back to "as usual" treated by thinning techniques, a matter of taste.

  5. Mmm... her hair is different, not so messy. That's nice. I'm not really a fan of the skirt, can't help to think it makes her look a bit bulky... But when she sits, it's nice.

  6. I don't like this dress at all. Only a very slim person would look OK in it, but for Maxima it is is wrong. Like other people who are constantly photographed, she should always think how her clothes will look when pictured, not only how they look in life.

  7. Strahlende Maxima.

  8. She has changed her makeup from that harsh, aging overdone blush and she looks much better and younger. Her hair looks a little thicker and a bit less messy, although it still looks better in an updo. Dress is not the best but still OK.

  9. Nice, fresh and different design. It has a slight 70s retro touch, but still feels modern. Also, it is a good choice for early summer in Argentina.
Still, a few points of criticism:
This outfit, while nice, is neither queenly nor particularly well suited for a high-profil international conference. Too casual for the occasion.
I agree with Marina above that the silhouette isn´t ideal for Maxima, and to be more specific, I´d say that the skirt is a bit too wide at the bottom; I wish the slit in the middle both started a bit further down and didn´t open quite as much. Also, just a few cm less length for the hem had been better.
    The shoes are horrid.
Lastly, I find funny to see how her belt buckle travels all over the place in the course of the day. Happens to the best of us :-)

  12. Without any offence intended, kudos to the queen for looking ahead and not at Trudeau in the last pic. Not so,etching many are capable of.

    1. no one looks at Trudeau lately - don't worry (or at least not in Canada - since it became so clear that he's just an average liar like any politician). I am sure Maxima cares very little about him too.

    2. Please let’s keep politics out of this blog. One reason I check in is to escape from the constant agitation.
We don’t need mean spirited here.

I am certainly not a Trudeau fan, but this is a royal fashion website, not a political one. Plenty of those out there for you to give your opinion.

  13. She looks lovely - her hair isn't perfect but it's much better than on some occasions. I like the dress and the bold colour on the skirt part.

  14. I like Maxima's dress. I'm glad to see her branching out with her designers. Michael Kors is a more modern look, and certainly less bizarre, than some of her Natan designs. I like seeing this more updated look on her. The shoes are not right with the dress, but a solid improvement. I appreciate seeing royals appearing more approachable.

  15. Nice to see Maxima attending the G20 Meetings. She fits right in with all the Heads of States. Plus it is in her Homeland.

  16. I have decided that Maxima has very little of her own hair. I think those are the days we see it looking bad. I think she has to have the extensions for body and lift. Not sure if this is the result of coloring and flat ironing etc. But I would assume that she could have the most luxurious head of hair if she could. She has the money and stylist. I think she may get tired of having extensions in all the time. She can go from full head of hair to looking like super thin stringy hair in one day.
    So .... just my thoughts

    She looks great here!!

    1. Yes she often uses extensions. I also think that all the styling, colouring and ironing are bad for everyone's hair. So perhaps she indeed does have thin and very little hair of her own, that's how it looks like. But always using extension can be annoying either, like you said.
Being a queen and always have to look flawless is a hard job!

    2. Imagine how awful it must be to have to be "perfect" all the time? Right now I am in yoga pants and tshirt with my hair in a 'messy bun" ... no make up and I went to the grocery store, the cleaners, and the public market like this today. I did bath LOL
No one gives me a glance. But if I was a Queen I could never just be.... comfy..

    3. Yeah I totally agree. They look at every move, they seize every word, they criticize every look... and if you make a mistake, it's not easily forgiven! Glad you got this as well! I also often like your comments, you make good points in what you say and have humour as well :-)

  17. How lovely to see Queen Maxima back on home territory, working on something she was trained to do and able to use her position as Queen to raise the profile of the things she's interested in. She is one highly intelligent lady and it's great to see her here with other world leaders. Like some of the comments above her hair seems less straggly in these photos. Has it been cut? I think I could have lived with the dress if it were't for that strange curving hem. Looks better when she's sitting as someone else said.
