In the evening of November 19, 2018, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene of Monaco, Princess Caroline of Hanover, Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi and Andrea Casiraghi attended the traditional Monaco National Day Gala held at Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. (Princess Caroline wore a cape-effect cady gown by Stella McCartney.) |
Very few smiles from both Royal ladies. The Gala dresses are gorgeous. This should be a happy event, or did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteYes, they are so serious that it's difficult to believe it's a celebración.
DeleteI totaly agree! They look all so sad! At least the english royals smile at similar events...
DeleteMaybe someone is ill in the family.
DeleteCharlene actually has a clenched fist in some of photos. What the heck is going on?
DeleteAnyway, I absolutely love the pink champagne colored dress! It's stunning!
Interesting how her sash follows the line of colors on the dress. I do think the dress has a good fit and nice lines. Think I would like it better without the sash.
ReplyDeleteSo tiresome. They're on the job, would a smile be too much to ask for.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice in her glimmering golden gown is exquisite. A perfect yet delicate fit.
ReplyDeleteCharlene it would have been a lovely dress but has own so much black lately, for the last twenty appearances. she is a beautiful lady but come on, there other neutral colors!!!
ReplyDeleteThe sad face of Charlene is totally back, I hope she is ok! 💕
ReplyDeleteHer dress is simple but beautiful, the detail with the sash following the color blocks is smart.
Carolines red dress is dramatic and is a total match for her!
I dont fancy the golfen dress of Beatrice, she looks like an Oscars Statuette...
Stunning, both of them Charlene and Caroline.Great hairstyle on Charlene and so the Makeup.
ReplyDeleteWell her hairstyle is not my favorite, and she changed her makeup recently, more discreet, softer colours... the contrast with the previous one is rather strong.
DeleteAll three ladies have lovely dresses. Love Caroline in the red and how she is pleased to be there.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice looks stunning as she usually does.
Charlene's dress is gorgeous, love how the sash follows the line on the dress. Don't love her sourpuss face and inability to even make an effort at graciousness.
totally agree
DeleteI don't think Charlene and Caroline should be together in any events. It's so obvious they don't like each other. I like their outfits but not their expression.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they have much in common but they were perfectly happily talking to each other a couple of days ago.
DeleteDitto.
DeleteI am so sad (and sick of it) that there is too much snobbery about this family. Caroline looks amazing! I have missed her looking like... well, a Princess of Monaco. This dress (I kind of love that she's SO not a slave to fashion that she isn't wearing some bespoke gown) I am having HSH Princess Grace flashbacks with this dress!
DeleteI wrote this elsewhere, but this family does very much get along - and more, they truly LIKE spending time together. They do very nice things like show up for a wedding that's very sadly and I think cruelly "boycotted" by the Groom's father, Caroline's horrid in name only husband. i thought that was very classy and kind. Do they smile all the time like Catherine and Meghan are expected to? Nope. neither do most of us, ever since I hit 40, I look like I hate everyone in candid photos, I hate it, but that's just gravity. I remember when Albert FINALLY got married, I was worried that Caroline would feel she'd been pushed out as de facto "first lady" of Monaco, but the opposite was true. And it showed.
If you come in with a negative attitude, everything can fit the narrative in your mind. It is in no way "obvious they don't get along". Caroline has a very strong sense of family, just like her parents and has been very supportive of Charlene.
Caroline looks smashing. That Stella McCartney gown has look fabulous on everyone I´ve seen wearing it. I like Charlene´s outfit too. Beatrice looks nice, but that colour is totally wrong. If this dress had been teal or forest green for instance, she had looked as smashing as Caroline.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice wears that color a lot! I can imagine her in teal, like a gown the Duchess of Cambridge recently "recycled" ( that word makes me roll my eyes) I was looking for a photo of a dress referenced but not shown in an article about Beatrice, Googled "Beatrice peach evening gown", and wow, so much peach! :0) Or peachy pinky beigey nudey. My only thought was that this dress and even the thing she's holding (matching fur muff, maybe?) look a lot like a previous look. She's still usually best dressed for me, but there is just something so truly regal about Caroline here. This is absolutely a dress her Mum would have worn, and I feel like she *did* wear. Obviously not Stella McCartney, but similar.
DeleteCharlene's is the dress I'm not super excited about, but I do like that she almost never fails to surprise me! I think she is more beautiful every year, possibly as she gains confidence in her role.

ReplyDeletePrincess Caroline does this easy elegance the best. She looks lovely and very sophisticated l. Princess Charlene’s gown is fitted perfectly which allows its simplicity to shine. Beatrice Borromeo always looks lovely and this is no exception. She wears nude the best.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice, my love!
ReplyDeleteFinally someone wears RED!!! Love the dress!! Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteA sadness everywhere...
ReplyDeleteAgree.
Deleteik vind dat de charlene weer prachtig er uit ziet , ik blijf het een knappen vrouw vinden!!! maar caroline dat rood staat haar prachtig!!!!
ReplyDeleteCharlene's fabulous earrings are my favorite thing here. I wish these ladies would get a clue about how harsh and aging bright red lipstick is to their faces.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
DeleteIt is on me, but not Charlene!
DeleteIf Princess Caroline and hey, let's throw in Stephanie for fun, had botox or fillers or a whole face lift (they both do have skin that aged prematurely. I completely agree, too much sun and cigarettes), and suddenly looked like the ladies of Hollywood? People would complain about that. I would rather have had the fun they did than my sad life in which nothing much happened, but I don't look my age.
This should be a happy event National Day.?Their faces don't match the beautiful gowns.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice is georgeous in her gown and Carolina looks very elegant and youthful.
ReplyDeleteCoincido totalmente con "Anonimo 1'22"
ReplyDeleteBeatrice is a total beauty...Charlene and Caroline look beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteHey! And what about Beatrice? Why there is no better photos? :/
ReplyDeleteI don't think she wants to be photographed, but that is just my opinion. There might be more photos, you can search for this event on Google if you like. If I weren't half asleep, I could be more helpful, but I think if there are photos, Google is a good place to start.
DeleteBeautiful women in Red, the Princess of Hannover has still the dominant trading position in the principality. She is lovely and red is very becoming.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Charlene´s dress, hairstyle, makeup.
ReplyDeleteEl vestido de Carolina ya lo puso la reina Letizia.
ReplyDeleteEven though there are beautiful gowns (Caroline, Beatrice) the only pleasing sight are the dancers (I think they are dancers because of their Ballet-shoes).
ReplyDeleteCharlene has always sad eyes. The only events when she does not look sad or lost are events with children and/or watersports and/or South Africa.
Trop belle la Charlene.
ReplyDeleteClasse et élégance.
Ne manque que le sourire.
oui tout a fait mais quelle classe!! elle est magnifique je suis fan! et j'espère un jour la rencontrer.
