On November 8, 2018, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Tusk Conservation Awards ceremony held at Banqueting House at Whitehall. The Tusk Conservation Awards celebrates individual environmental efforts across Africa, recognizing dedication to wildlife habitat conservation, environmental education and sustainable community development programs. Prince William became the Patron of the Tusk Trust in 2005. (The Duchess is wearing her teal Jenny Packham gown). |
Oh I love this dress!
ReplyDeleteSo nice, that she wears it again!
I wish to have a dress like that, it's fantastic
I think it should be against the Law, to look this good after having three children. Great look Dss of Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteRoyalty fan
DeleteI wish I could add emoji's, Anonymous, your commentary are adorable!
Absolutely my favorite gown she's worn.
ReplyDeleteI love Kate, and I love the way she managed to find a gown she hasn’t worn for six years ! I am irked at the little details that she fails to put into an appearance like tonight. The devil is always in the detail, and sadly Kate missed the mark for me. Her hair looks like she whopped the hot curler through it, were as a lovely updo or side slick look would have been gorgeous ! Her make up artist needs to look to upping her game. Kate looks like she does on a school run ! Again little effort or detail !
ReplyDeleteI managed to see some of the other guests at the event and they all look like a lot of effort had gone into their evening look !
As the GBP are understanding that her priorities are the children, and as such she has limited her duties. But if this is your first public appearance in a week, you need to allocate time to look your very best, out of respect to the other guests that turned up in the hope of meeting W&K !
I agree. This dress is gorgeous but I prefer the original outing in this dress. She had her hair back and better makeup. She looks great, but not as put together as she could be.
DeleteCompletely agree. Her hairdresser was on vacation tonight. I see a home made work.
DeleteWaar kan u de fotos van de andere gasten zien???
DeleteTotally disagree! I love, love, love her hair in curls like this! It is kit a casual down but a neat, manicured curly look. So many complain she dresses too old for her age then she dresses up in age-appropriate style & the other side complains. I think she looks super fab & wouldn't change a thing.
Delete@Gilbert Lambrechts - Images of guests were available in one of the national newspapers. Katherine Jenkins the opera singer was there, looking stunning.
DeleteKate cannot look identical every time she repeats a dress. She does need to change to change her hair, belt, shoes, bag, etc. She does look much younger with her hair down, which she should strive to do more. If she does wear it up, there are younger styles that would suit her.
DeleteThey are a beautiful couple but she looks thinner than ever. Hard to believe she has had 3 children in 5 years. Some people just have these great metabolisms.
ReplyDeleteDelighted to see a return of this beautiful dress. The Duchess looks amazing
ReplyDeleteTotaly agree!
DeleteAgree with Susan sand Helena
DeleteFABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteI think she looks lovely, but a lipstick with a big more color would have finished her look better. Since the eyes are so dark, the barely there lip color makes her look tired or kind she dabbed off her lipstick. Love the dress and hair!
ReplyDeleteI am sure it is how it is photographing, but she has a dark eye, so she has gone with a nude lip. It is visible in pic #5. You can't do both.
DeleteThis dress is different, original, classic and with a touch of modern. I can see a little peeping platform silvery sandal that looks a little chunky, but she looks great. And for the critics of Queen Letizia for wearing a sleeveless, and low cut outfit the other night, well there you have it... I for one am glad that these women dress according to this century,
ReplyDeleteI don't care how, but Queen Laetizia has bigger breast. I think the problem with the queen's prevoius dress wasn't the low neckline rather the bra that made some serious decollettage for her. By the way the Duchess likes this low cut, just remember her dress at the state banquet held for spanish king and queen.
DeleteLove this dress. Catherine looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely - the dress is superb, beautiful colour. Love the accessories, personally I think her make up is fine. My, admittedly minor, quibble is with her hair - I prefer it a little bit shorter - or off her face somehow so we can see the earrings a bit better.
ReplyDeleteJongeman, doe dat knoopje van je jasje dicht. Het is geen gezicht. En het ergste is: het gebeurt expres!
ReplyDeleteThis is what you call Class no comparison, she is a true Princess
ReplyDeleteyes,yes,she is!!!!
DeleteYES She is true Princess!!!
DeleteI liked the dress the first time she wore it and I still like it now. She looks stunning!
ReplyDeletePerfect appearance but I agree with Southernbelle - a lipstick with a little bit more colour would be better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jean Conradie
ReplyDeleteI think she has to pay more attention to her posture (maintien).
ReplyDeleteA question : was it so warm in London last night that she could walk (at least a few steps) without a coat or jacket in November? I know we unusually warm days this fall, however..
ReplyDeleteI am also pleased she was wearing that nice dress again.
DeleteIt was/is quite mild in London at the moment so for just walking into the venue she won't have had a problem.
DeleteEs posible, Franny, pero lo sorprendente es que este razonamiento se aplique en UK y no en España, donde hace una temperatura mucho más cálida. ¿A qué cree usted que se debe esta diferente vara de medir? o_O
DeleteQueen Letizia is much more daring and a bit edgier in her fashion choices, I also think in some ways the Spanish monarchy is simpler and more "relaxed" which explains the differences. Also, there is a difference in character - I think Catherine is more conformist while Letizia is less so. Personally, I generally love Letizia's style and find Catherine a bit safe but they both work within their particular environment. The trouble is on this blog there are so many "experts" on protocol and etiquette.
DeleteFranny, your assessment is right on. Kate does stay very safe, and I would love to see her loosen up a little. Your last comment couldn't be more accurate.
DeleteShe is absolutly perfect!
ReplyDeleteCompletely love her
How i wish she chose a different purse & shoes to give the whole outfit a different look. I think they are the exact pairings when she wore the dress the first time. Anyway she still look wonderful.
