DeletePerfect fit for the jacket. Trousers are a bit long and I think she would have looked better if they weren't so wide. Hair is very healthy looking and pretty esp in the second pic.

ReplyDeleteThe suit is a tad long but fits her perfectly otherwise. The colour however is as boring as can be, and the neutral (equally boring) accessories do nothing to give this some interest. Also, Mary and Fredrik both wearing a grey suit, is almost a bit comical, yet at the same time the two suits are jarringly non-matching. It just doesn´t look right.
ReplyDeleteIf Mary´s suit had been, say, wine-red, it would have been a totally different effect; I think it had looked really good.
Once again Vanessa, you are spot-on on all your observations, even the subtle ones such as the dreariness of them both wearing the same colour and still looking mis-matched. She would look smashing in a tailored slim legged red coloured suit.
DeleteThis is a business trip and thus Mary’s choice of professional clothing. The pants could be hemmed a tad bit. Otherwise a great look for her.

ReplyDeleteHmmm. Nothing to write home about. Needs something. A brighter top could do nicely. I would have chosen a dress. Armani has plenty to choose from. If not a dress, then a skirt suit (also plenty of those in his collection). This is just way to blah.

While I can't fault the outfit for being smart an business like, it's nowhere near as smart as she was yesterday. The colour is dull and she blends into the sea of suits. Smart, yes, but not one of Mary's better looks.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric of the suit is beautiful and it's smart and business-like which is the reason they are in Rome. I think Fred proposed to Mary in Rome so it must bring back fond memories for them. Their relationship goes from strength-to-strength, you can see clearly they are still very much in love.
