| On October 5, 2018, The Countess of Wessex hosted OSCAR Foundation's U-17 girls football team at the Windsor Castle in Berkshire. The Indian Under-17 Women's football team is comprised of girl players from Mumbai slums and rural parts of Jharkhand. The Organization for Social Change Awareness and Responsibility (OSCAR) Foundation has used football to address community issues in the Ambedkar Nagar slum, Mumbai since 2006. With a strong focus on education, OSCAR aims to break the cycle of substance abuse, gambling and early marriage. |

What stunning white, gold and and cranberry red saris! Imo the sari is one of the most beautiful garments ever devised for us ladies, and these young women wear it well. Sophie Wessex's hair is neat, her makeup understated, and her smile gracious as always -- but I can't work up any enthusiasm for her outfit.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree on everything. The sari has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Yes, Sophie's hair and makeup are right on target. I'm always a sucker for pendants and this one is pretty against the color of her sweater, but style-wise her outfit is a miss.

ReplyDeleteThe sweater and skirt don't work together. She needed to wear a well fitting blouse with the skirt since it is so long. There is just too much fabric on her body. The color of her sweater is pretty, and I like her pendant. She is such a warm, lovely person.
