| Swedish Royal Family, that is, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended celebrations in Pau city of France, held in connection with the 200th anniversary of Bernadotte dynasty's accession to the throne. The day began with the inauguration of renovated Bernadotte Museum. The Royal Family then attended a reception held at Pau municipality building. In the afternoon, King Carl Gustaf plant an oak tree at Beaumont Park where his grandfather, Oscar II planted a magnolia on April 11, 1899. (Jean-Baptiste Jules Bernadotte was born in Pau and was one of the Republican marshalls of Napoleon and was the first French king of Sweden) |

DeleteVictoria does look great in this dress, but I agree with Coralie that she can wear florals successfully -- imo it's just a matter of proper fit and prints that are not garishly-hued or too large.

DeleteOscar II was the great great grandfather of Carl XVI Gustaf. Between the 2 there was Gustaf V,
ReplyDeleteGustaf VI Adolf (a lovely man and a great king). The father of Carl XVI Gustaf died tragically as crown-prince.
All look good. But Victoria is so sensationell that I do not mind her hairstyle. It is okay with the flower.
