On the 3rd of October, 2018, Childhood USA hosted the 2018 ThankYou Awards gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York in the presence of Queen Silvia of Sweden and Princess Madeleine of Sweden. During the Gala, leaders who have significantly furthered the cause of children's rights were honored, including: Marta Santos Pais, Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children; Baroness Joanna Shields, founder of WePROTECT; Hugh Evans, Co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen; and Tony Maddox, EVP of CNN International and the CNN Freedom Project. (At the gala night, Swedish Princess Madeleine wore floral print gown by Giambattista Valli, which she had worn before). |
Flowers everywhere, too much for me. Ladies in black look much more elegant.

DeleteAlthough I normally like flower prints, this is too much. Probably because both of them wear this kind of print. The ladies in black are more elegant!
DeleteMadeleine wore black dress for this event last year, and then there were comments that black is not a good color for her :D
DeleteAnon 12:50 I was thinking the same thing. Complaints for wearing black, complaints for not wearing black.
DeleteSilvia looks much more stylish than Madeline.

Deleteagree² :-)
Deletelove this dress on Queen Sylvia...wow..
ReplyDeleteRobe classique et élégante pour la reine Silvia, moderne pour Madeleine
ReplyDeleteyes but Madeleine's dress fits her very well, quite nice!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think it’s the best she’s looked in a while. She has slimmed down, her hair looks healthy and face looks fresh and beautiful.
DeleteI agree with Miracle.
ReplyDeleteMadeleine looks awesome. Such a beautiful lady!
ReplyDeleteAgree with you. Princess Madeleine looks stunning
DeleteThese two dresses while lovely, look more like at home hostess dresses to me. It is apparent that both women are delighted to have this occasion to see each other.
ReplyDeleteLove both dresses, so cheerful and beautiful. Madeleine has gorgeous hair. So thick and shiny.
ReplyDeleteI must say Q Silvia looks her fantastic self. Madeleine's dress looks nice but way to many flowers. Pic 1 and 6 the ladies look good. Great event worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteBoth the Queen and the Princess look fabulous. Why not flowers?
ReplyDeleteQueen Sylvia looks amazing! Love both dresses and both ladies look marvelous!
DeleteSilvia looks very beautiful in these pictures. Her dress is nice, but I think it's her hair that really makes her look stunning.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Madeleine's dress.
I too like both ladies and both dresses. They both wear them very, very well and therefore look good in them, flowers or not. Madeleine is stunning. A very beautiful woman, and always has been.
ReplyDeleteI am a great fan of both Queen Silvia & Princess Madeleine. Their day outfits for this event were great but both evening dresses far too fussy for me. Don't think either dress is flattering for the wearer sadly.
ReplyDeleteMother and daughter look stunning!
ReplyDeleteLady in black...very pretty and cheerful with those flowers. Madeleine looks so tall and slim. Stunning woman.
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia will be 75 but just look at her. She looks so youthful and pretty. Pink looks good on her.
Very elegant floral pink and black dress. Madleine looks dazzling.
ReplyDeleteSilvia looks pretty in pink.
Both Sylvia and Madeleine look lovely. Their hairstyles are perfection. However, I must say that I am not a fan of the current trend of floral fabrics. Far too many flowers from top to bottom. A matter of personal preference, of course.
ReplyDeleteThe queen looks absolutly fab!
ReplyDeleteCharming, both ladies look amazing. Agree about the perfect hairstyles.
ReplyDeleteBezaubernd die Königin in einem wunderschönen Kleid !!
