| On October 16, 2018, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands visited the province of Zeeland. The purpose of that visit is to see on site economic developments in the region, especially developments in the fields of agriculture and industry in rural development areas and to receive information. Within this scope, the King and the Queen visit Renesse, Kerkwerve, Bruinisse, Philipsland, Sint-Annaland and Tholen. (The Queen wore a skirt from S/S2017 collection of Claes Iversen) |

DeleteOMG! That is one ugly skirt. Máxima's style can be a little bit extravagant, but it usually works well. The skirt looks like it was put together by a child and she has too many colors--hat, shoes, bag--and the shawl is dull. A bit of a mess. She looks like she's having a good time, though.

ReplyDeleteI'm almost list for words! Outfit is okay from the waist up or might be okay with a white top so that it looks like a dress. As it is, just no!

ReplyDeleteThat´s too much loing on in one outfit. I don´t mind a 3D-skirt with lots of petals, but something like that is inavoidably a loud piece and needs to be paired with quiet, basic pieces. With a white blouse it would have worked, no hat, no shawl. Also, for further streamlining, the skirt could lose most of the lowest sheer panel that looks like excess material.

ReplyDeleteI like the skirt, the unexpected top and the shoes. If she had left tat ugly head-thing at home it would have been much besser. Even the wrap can I accept: when one feels the cold anything goes.

ReplyDeleteI didn’t like her outfit on photos in the early morning, but when they arrived in Bruinisse.... WoW!! What a lady, she has a wonderful smile and charisma and she wore really a very nice outfit! I like the blouse, but also the skirt was very beautiful. The hat was OK (i love her big hats) and I love, love, love her high heels! <3
I love this outfit, it reminds me of the dutch flower fields with all those diffent colours and textures!
ReplyDeleteEveryone writes about Maxima's excess, but King Willem-Alexander is really boring. I can't recall seeing him in anything other than a blue suit. I wish he would try something else.
