How brave they are <3
ReplyDeleteall my thoughts and best wishes to them.
The Crown princess looks fantastic in this pics, great dress, wonderful tiara and jewellery
I just read that Princess Mette-Marit, at 45 years old, has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a terminal disease. This is such tragic news, I recently lost my FiL to this disease and it is awful.
ReplyDeleteYes, very distressing news. She is so young and vibrant. Perhaps it may be possible for her to receive a lung transplant. I am sure that every effort will be made to help her, and that the people of Norway are sending her much love. I am so sorry that your father-in-law was stricken with this dreadful illness.
DeleteSad indeed. Was she a smoker by any chance? Mayo clinic says on their website "Far more smokers and former smokers develop pulmonary fibrosis than do people who have never smoked"
DeleteYes, this is so shocking and sad. It's a horrible disease and she is much too young.
DeleteWow, just terrible news. Sorry for your loss. :-(
DeleteSo sad news indeed. It was written in our papers that her disease is not after smoking but autoimmune one. So she cannot have caused it herself.
DeleteHer doctor said it had nothing to do with that she used to smoke. They say her unusual variation of the disease that they think is linked to a more extensive autoimmune disease does not come from environmental or lifestyle conditions. She have had this condition for years and are progressing slowly. They think they are gonna manage it in a good way. Ande some people live quite well with the condition, and the sickest get a transplant. So I guess a lot of people out there are embarrassed now of all their lazy comments everytime she was sick or that she need to lose weight(we know that Prednisolone that she uses for the condition make you gain weight, swell up and retain water). So this shows us that we should always be nice to each other, even royals. We don't know everything. So treat people the same way you want to be treated yourself ;)
DeleteMette-Marit has autoimmune pulmonary fibrosis, that has nothing to do With her lifestyle or smoking. It's a condition in which someone's antibodies attack substances that are naturally found in the body.
Delete@ Annonymous, Mette-Marit was on this fashion blog not critized for her weight but for her frequent wrong fashion choices and badly cut, ill fitting dresses, chosing the wrong size for her figure. With todays evening gown she shows how much better she can do. She looks great in this purple dress. It's a perfect cut for her figure and the colour suits her much better than the often seen pastels. She is a unique beauty. I am sorry to hear the news of her being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and wish her and her family the best.
DeleteThe last two photos - of Mette Marit and Queen Sonja closeup - are wonderful. Both very beautiful ladies looking regal to perfection in their tiaras and jewellery.
ReplyDeleteWonderful outfits! I like everyone of them. It is especially nice to see Mette-Marit in a non-pastel gown and with a sleeker design while still being true to her style.
ReplyDelete@ Vanessa, you are so right, I never thought that the pastels suited Mette-Marit that well, this purple dress is such a nice change in colour and fit, when I saw the pictures even more so with the jewels, I was just Wow!! She looks beautiful, grown-up and regal. The good posture shown on these photos add to that impression.
DeletePerfect analysis, Beth! I agree with everything you said.
DeleteMette-Marit looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMette-Marit looks lovely. It's great to see her out and looking so lovely after the announcement of her worrisome lung condition. I've always looked this dress on her and and it looks great with the red stones.
ReplyDeleteOops! I think I'm confusing this dress with her navy blue lace dress. This is actually much prettier.
ReplyDeleteAll three ladies look lovely. My thoughts with the crown princess, who I think looks beautiful today.
ReplyDeleteThey look all good. I think Mette Marit is very rare that black is actually becoming color to her.
ReplyDeleteMM looks absolutely lovely. Love her new frock. All my thoughts and prayers are with her and her family in these hard times. Hope many, many good years are still ahead <3
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I was shocked to read the bad news...
DeleteIk wist niets van de ziekte van MM, hoe erg, ze is precies ook vermagerd.Ze ziet er zo mooi uit. Hou ook van dat zwarte kleed. Is die tiara en halsketting oorspronkelijk met zwarte stenen??
ReplyDeleteThe dress is purple and she's wearing The Amethyst Necklace Tiara, so purple stones.
DeleteAdhiero a lo antes expresado MIS ORACIONES con MM (es la más joven junto con Matilde la misma edad 45años... tiene hijos chicos)
ReplyDeleteGreat look for all the Royal Ladies. M M looks wonderful. Sad that she is ill, hope she will get the proper help.
ReplyDeleteI am very disappointed for the Crownprincess as for the whole family.
ReplyDeleteI wish her all the best 🍀 👼
The Norwegian royal family seems to have a close bond and I think the whole family will be behind Metre Marit
