On the second day of their visit to Fiji, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the University of the South Pacific campus in Suva. The Duchess then visited Suva Market to met some of the female vendors who have become empowered through the project. The Duke and Duchess are on their official 16-day Autumn tour visiting cities in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. (The Duchess wore a printed dress by Figue) |
Love her hair. Dress is appropriate when taken in context. Nice colour. Only bummer is the shoes which is downright ugly
ReplyDeleteThis hairstyle with the blue dress would have been stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic happy dress, perfect for the occasion. I really like her hair up this way. The best accessory is the espadrilles. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you!!!!
DeleteYou said it perfectly!
DeleteThe shoes are ok with this dress!!
ReplyDeletevery lovely dress, she looks glamorous today. i hope her style remains this way
ReplyDeleteShe looks very good except the shoes.
ReplyDeleteDon't like the colour of her dress and don't like the shoes of them both.
ReplyDeleteBut her hairdo is nice.
This hairstyle is gorgeous on her! Meghan, pls ditch the messy bun, stick to this style and you look a million times better!! It brings up her beautiful profile and lights up her whole face. The flowers add a sweet touch - were they part of the "flower parure" the hosts gifted her or was she wearing those already before?
ReplyDeleteI love her shoes. Quite nice outfit but I really like her signature low bun. This one is ok but not as cute as the "messy".
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will go anywhere. Not only is it cute on her, it is very much in style.
DeleteHope they will get some rest to enjoy days in Fiji....🥀
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet Meghan here..she looks fabulous..
ReplyDeleteDress: nice
ReplyDeleteHair & makeup: great, more of this please!
Shoes: Ok-ish for a different outfit, but not with this dress, they look clunky, completely random and ruin the delicate feel of the dress
Purse: ???! did she just grab it by mistake on the way out? I prefer to think that she had a gorgeous one, color-coordinated with the dress, planned for this outfit but it got unfortunately placed next to this one which was planned for the next outing and, voila', swapped by mistake.... No other excuse can be accepted for this unfortunate pairing...
Lol -- I was sure that I would be seeing comments such as "She looks like she's wearing her bathrobe!" or "She looks like she's wearing ruffled curtains!", so I'm quite surprised :-). My view is that while the dress has some very nice elements, it was not fitted properly which in combination with the ruffles, gave it a somewhat sloppy appearance. The color, sleeves, neckline and empire waist are all lovely! -- so take the dress in just a bit here and there, lose the ruffles, and you'd have perfection.
ReplyDeleteColors are pretty, but too many ruffles and prairie style for my taste.
ReplyDeleteThis dress makes her look like a young girl and the flower in her hair. Very pretty the color looks good on her too.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is colourful and patterned so I really want to like this it but I totally agree with the comments above poor fitting making it look sloppy. I see from photos elsewhere that it is a silky fabric which I thought made it look better (though perhaps a little like the bathrobe as suggested by Jane :-) The shoes are clunky and ugly and don't match this dress at all. Agree that her hairstyle is a big improvement on the straggly messy bun. Overall, while it's not her best look, it's still am improvement on last week.
ReplyDeleteLove the hair and the shoes, but not so sure about the dress. Nice print and colour, the style and fit not as nice. In Meghans defense it has to be said that in this period of a pregnancy it is very hard to dress. All normal clothes are getting uncomfortable and too small since only your bust and belly is slightly "too big" for your body, yet maternity clothes are way too big. It can be really tricky. She's done great and worn some really nice outfits still.
ReplyDeleteI believe the clutch is Fijian.
ReplyDeleteThe dress could have looked much nicer if fitted properly. The shoes look larger than her sized as is seen from the back. The shoes were probably matched to the purse but it doesn't suit the dress at all. They make wonderful bark cloth clutches in pretty light colors, and you can see how well cream sandals suit this dress on a model. Whoever styled this outfit probably thought that dark colors would work with her hair. It doesn't and it's a pity. All three items are quite nice, and the clutcfh and shoes would have worked with her sundresses or white shirt.
ReplyDeleteOh well, I think she looks fabulous. Soft colours, flowers, cool and comfortable. I also think the shoes are fine - a comfortable way to wear a higher shoe and suitable for warmer weather.
ReplyDeletePlease excuse me if this short video is inappropriate here, but I couldn't help but remember Kate & William's visit to Tuvalu. I laughed until I cried at William's dancing, and Kate letting herself go. Hopefully, their children will also treasure the video for years to come. https://youtu.be/XzHr9b9JuCQ
