On the second day of their visit to Tonga, on October 26, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the St George Building and met with the Prime Minister S. Akilisi Pohiva and members of the cabinet there. Afterwards, The Duke and Duchess attended an exhibition with The Princess Angelika at the Faonelua Centre, celebrating Tongan handicrafts and products, including traditional mats and 'tapa' cloth. The Duke and Duchess also met with local Tongan traders and craftsmen at the exhibition. (The Duchess wore a striped shirt-dress from Martin Grant Spring/Summer 2019 collection) |
This is a great example of how to blend Meghan's style with official duty wardrobe. Her hair is neatly done as well. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteLove the striped dress. She looks so fresh. Wear the ponytail in uk also Meghan.
ReplyDeleteFresh, feminine and beautiful. Origin in the "New Look" of the 1950s. Very Audrey Hepburn, including sleek pony tail. Flattering green stripes and soft suede matching heels.
ReplyDeleteThat dress doesn't fit, does her no favours, and is about the worst thing she's worn to date. What a waste of money.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree.
DeleteI totally agree
DeleteI don’t like either outfit, but she looks stunning ( hair and makeup wise) such beautiful features!
Deletecan you believe she’s already older than Lady D when she passed away... brakes my heart.
DeleteI agree with Till, these two dresses are quite nice and bring some variety in her style. They fit perfectly with her situation.
DeleteSome comments above sound negative for the sake of being negative.
Herzlichst Ihr pensionierter Lehrer.
DeleteBoth nice, but I really like the striped one. So fresh and personal.
ReplyDeleteMeghan looks so polished. Both the Martin Grant striped and the Veronica Beard blue are perfect for the climate and occasions. I love the green stripes, paired with the green shoes. Very Meghan, very lovely.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteLove the white and green dress. She looks elegant and modern.
ReplyDeletemoeilijk passende gestreepte jurk. Blauwe is mooier, qua kleur en pasvorm.
ReplyDeleteI like both dresses. She looks young and fresh.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so fond of the striped dress with a high neck, but the blue is amazing! Very flattering on the duchess who also has received the most beautiful skin color on this trip. The sun has made her shine!
ReplyDeleteDuchess Meghan looks gorgeous. Love her hair very neat and her shoes. I love both dresses, she'll never win with the haters. Too tight, too loose, doesn't fit.......
ReplyDeleteBoth dresses are nice and she looks good. I like her hair in this sleek ponytail. The blue dress is gorgeous - love the colour and the slightly fifties cut.
ReplyDeleteAgree about the hair - the living proof how much better tidy hair looks! I also like the blue dress, the striped one not so much.
DeleteI love the look with both dresses and also love her hair. She looks happy, relaxed, and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of this two dresses. All in all they suit her good, but I like her much more in an outfit, that is not so wide. But that is my own clothing taste. Ponytail?! Oh she looks so young and fresh with a ponytail. Totally simple but for her fine-cut face with this bright, natural and warm-hearted smile it is elegant and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the first dress but I think the blue one is gorgeous and the colour suits her very well... And I like to see her with the ponytail. She should use it more often...
ReplyDeleteThat blue dress......... wow
ReplyDeleteSo charming,loved,relaxed,happy Duchess of Sussex!
ReplyDeleteWonderful that striped one..and Meghan looks beautiful and happy..what a trip they have made 🥀
ReplyDeleteI think people are being unfair when they say we keep picking on the fit of some of her dresses. This is a fashion blog, she’s wearing these lovely and expensive dresses but, she’s doing the designer and herself no favors wearing them incorrectly. Not everyone can wear clothes off the rack/mannequin, the stripped dress would’ve looked 100x better if a seamstress had been able to tighten up the loose fabric on the sides of her busy and under her arms. She’s due in spring, I’m also due in spring (April), so for those commenting on her “situation” she can and should still have her clothing trailored to her.
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with a shirtdress : )
ReplyDeleteThe black and white (or are those stripes olive? Look closely!)seems to have a bit too much material at the top. The blue one is better. Nice sleek ponytail. Yay for color : )
Love this striped dress great with matching shoes. The ponytail looks very good on her. She looks very very young with this and the blue dress. Keep it up,like this.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, Jo. The blue dress is lovely and fits nicely. Not sure about the striped one, but it's better than last week's outfits so won't complain. Like the shoes in both outfits Her hair is lovely tied back without the straggly side bits--shows off her lovely complexion and beautiful smile.
ReplyDeletelovely in the blue dress indeed! any suggestions please for the aquamarine (i think...) charms ?
