Queen Margrethe of Denmark visited Svendborg municipality

Queen Margrethe of Denmark visited Svendborg municipality in connection with the traditional 2018 summer tour. The Queen arrived at Svendborg Harbour on September 6 and was welcomed by Mayor Bo Hansen of Svendborg. The Queen firstly visited Bryghuset Plejecenter which is a private nursing home. The Queen then visited Scangrip company producing automotive lighting systems and industrial lighting systems. Afterwards, the Queen visited Forsorgs Historical Museum. In the evening of September 6, the Queen held a reception aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. There was a fireworks show at the end of the reception.

Today, on September 7, on the second day of her visit to Svendborg municipality, Queen Margrethe visited a brick plant and a art museum. Afterwards, the Queen opened a large playfield for the schools in Oure. Oure College of Sports & Performing Arts is a school project that includes three schools within its structure, that is, Oure Boarding School, Oure Gymnasium and Oure Academy.
