(In addition to the related recent post) On August 12, a dinner was given by the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg who are currently on a holiday at their Cabasson mansion in honour of the French President and his wife. The mansion of the Grand Ducal couple is located beside Brégançon Castle which is the summer residence of the President of France. Today, the Grand Ducal Court released new photos of the couples, taken while the couples were on a mini electric car. |
The dinner was given by the GD and his wife, not by the French president. It is a tradition that goes back to GD Charlotte. Since she bought the summer residence, the reigning GD always invites the French president for dinner when they are both on holidays.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and the dress of the GD looks great! Here you can clearly see that Maria Teresa is not as thin as she looked in photos published by the royal court recently. I dont understand why she should be so photoshopped all the time. She is a curvy and beautiful woman!
ReplyDeleteI have said all along that I do not believe she has lost much weight, most of her posed photos are photoshopped. She is lovely and dresses appropriately for her size and age. She looks great in these photos and the dress she is wearing looks comfortable and classy.
DeleteMaybe her weight is more problem to her photographer. I have many times wondered does that photosoping make any good to those pic and don´t think so.
DeleteThe GD looks indeed how she is. The dress is nice but sorry does not fit her so well. You need to be thiner to wear such a dress in an elegant way.

ReplyDeleteI wish Brigitte can also wear comfortable clothes, when she hasn't got formal events to attend, because I can see she's got a mini dress on, and surely it must be difficult to ride on a mini golf car like that. MT as usual looks pretty
Brigitte wants to look younger than her age, I think that's the reason for always wearing short dresses.
DeleteAgree. Sometimes it looks pitiful or pathetic I think.
DeleteShe needs not to do that.
She shoud have confidence in her age.
A mini dress is not necessarily uncomfortable. The positive point of Brigitte's dress is that she is showing fairly little skin parts. Actually I recommend both of them to show limited skin surface on arms and shoulders. You can show legs longer than arms and shoulders.
DeleteHermosa MarÃa Teresa, ha adelgazado mucho!!
ReplyDeleteThe lack of photoshopping is amazing. MT's dress is perfect for the setting.
ReplyDeleteSuch a classy family, le Grand Duc and la Grande Duchesse. Always leaves me with a feeling of respect and admiration. Madame Macron is trying too hard and it’s difficult to understand why no one is advising her better. It’s drawing attention exactly where I would assume she actually doesn’t want to. Bizarre... certainly not showing any kind of class.
ReplyDeleteThat´s what I feel, too. About Brigitte Macron. She´s not dressed in an ugly way, and she´s certainly fit for her age, but she´s just lacking class. Even in casual settings like here, it just doesn´t look right. She always looks like she´s ready to go clubbing. It really borders on looking cheap.
DeleteMaria-Teresa managed to strike the right tone, as she so often does. She´s classy.
Vanessa, I totally agree - Brigitte Macrons outfit borders on looking cheap! Someone else on this site wrote that she is much more Jetset than Politician, and especially in comparison with the intelligent and beautiful Maria Teresa this is so true!
DeleteThe Ladies are dressed exceptional beautifully. They seem to be relaxed and get along with each other very well.
ReplyDeleteBrigitte Macron needs desperately a stylist. Please someone have mercy. MT shows that some extra pounds can suit a woman beautifully.
ReplyDeleteAgree!

ReplyDeleteI so agree with you Beth. I wish her daughter, Tiphaine, can step in, or surely she must have very dear lady friends, that can just tactfully approach her. And what about all the fashion houses, and stylists in France. Yes Beth, like you say, can someone have mercy on her, with friendly advice
