| On July 12, 2018, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands made a working visit to Elske Doets Young Lady Business Academy in Heerhugowaard. In the afternoon, the Queen visited the Albeda College for the National Programme Rotterdam-Zuid (NPRZ). In the program corporaties, health care institutions, school boards, business community, police, public prosecutor and employers are working together for a better future for Rotterdam Zuid. Vocational studies are the main part of Albeda College. |

DeletePersonally, I don't like Maxima's outfit today. It doesn't fit her at all. The blouse looks very big on her and the cullote-trouser-skirt whatever it is, it's absolutely horrendous (see pictures 1 and 2) It seems like she doesn't find the perfect balance in terms of outfits, for some events she is overdress and for others, she is under dress. Perhaps, a change on her fashion assistant will be a good idea.

DeleteNot a good look for Queen Maxima today. Although she is smiling and giving her full attention, she looks exhausted. I hope a well needed summerbreak will help her get her groove back.
ReplyDeleteHer outfit doesn't fit her well at all, neither the blouse nor the culottes are fashionable, and the necklace and the earrings are way too big and don't go with the outfit at all. Her hair as usual is a mess.

An hour with the hairstylist or an extra hour of sleep. I would take the extra hour of sleep, which is maybe what Maxima does.
DeleteI like the colour and style of the blouse. If teamed with a slim skirt or fitted trousers I think it would look great.Her hair is even more straggly than usual but her smile continues to illuminate a room.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the blouse -- a ravishing shade of blue, an elegantly relaxed fit that drapes beautifully, and such gorgeous sleeves! I do regret that this lovely queen does not keep her hair looking its best. Sometimes she is exquisitely coiffed, but more often her hair looks neglected. It is puzzling. However, she is so sincere and hard-working that such things can be viewed in perspective.
ReplyDeleteI agree her smile is great but she is a Queen. She has the best resources to make herself look amazing. That hair is the worst, it is straggly and looks like she needs a good brush. The outfit does not work either.

ReplyDeleteHer blouse has lace-up detail, so she doesn't need a necklace at all. Her earrings are huge! A small earring just as a finishing touch was all that was needed. Her jewelry itself is not accentuating her outfit when it is so oversized and the same color as her blouse. Even her ring is oversized and the same color as her blouse.
ReplyDeleteHer cropped, wide-legged trousers (I think that is what they are) make her look larger than she is. She must like her style as she repeats it over and over again. I would love to se her simplify her wardrobe.
Her stylist may be on holiday. Only thing I like is the color of blouse. But I like the yellow combination the other woman is having.

ReplyDeleteOnly good aspect is the colour of the blouse. The rest is horrible. Two shapeless pieces is unlike her usual style, and why wear a big necklace over a lace-up front blouse?

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have been surprised to see Queen Margrethe in this outfit (and she loves big jewvelry) ... but Maxima, it's a big NO! Also her hair is worse, than it has been lately !!
