On the first day of their Dublin visit, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a Summer Party at the British Ambassador's residence at Glencairn House in Dublin, where they meet people from across Ireland's arts, sports, military and social enterprise sectors. Meghan wore a bespoke black sleeveless dress by Emilia Wickstead, and Deneuve shoes by Aquazzura. She carried a black satin clutch by Givenchy. |
Wow. Love it!
ReplyDeleteMe tooooo!!
DeleteWhy is Meghan wearing such dark colours in the northern summer? One would think she was in mourning. She would look so pretty in brighter colours. She does look nice here and the past few occasions too but just wondering why she never seems to wear anything bright (apart from the yellow dress)
ReplyDeleteBlack is worn in all seasons for many occassions. It is her look. I personally wear black 99% of the time...work weddings showers dinner lunch.... I do NOT wear black to a funeral. Black is not left for mourning these days. It is a chic color for all events.
DeleteBut Mimi I think she is finding her way with color. The yellow was so lovely. So was the green. I think it is going to be fun to watch her evolve. But I think black will always be her "go to color".
its her style! Neutral colors, black, white and anything close to them
DeleteThe little black dress is very elegant.
DeleteShe was wearing bright yellow just few days ago. And she was wearing all shades of white recently.... But then again it was "boring" for some people. Black is completely fine in this very oficial event.
DeleteAgree! Well said!
DeleteBlack for an evening event, is fine. I agree with the other comments, she is evolving, and at a rapid pace, which is brilliant for us royal followers :-)
DeleteI too wear a lot of black and neutral colors, it just my own preference.
Very wonderful couple of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
ReplyDeleteShe is just knocking it out of the park over and over! Again she looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe second wow dress of the day, a very nice fit. So I believe she is the new Fashion plate of the BRF. I also like her interaction with the people.
ReplyDeleteLove this style on her. Her clothes during the past engagements shows what cuts and styles of clothing she favors. Very nice to see her wearing this citrine drop earrings.

ReplyDeleteThank you for being able to distinguish citrine from morganite--a feat the Daily Mail was unable to accomplish! And I am not a jeweler! I can, however, tell the difference between yellow and pink.
DeleteHer entire day has been fabulous. Yes the colors are dark but the uncluttered simplicity allows the eye to notice the small details. The choices are also giving me a vibe of a certain Queen,...sleek, modern and without excessive bling.
ReplyDeleteShe is certainly knocking it out of the park! Simplicity and elegance but adding up to an exciting look.
DeleteI love her in black and with more substantial earrings like she has on here. My main criticism is that she should be careful about belted dresses, because this one in particular makes her look thick-waisted, which is unflattering. Thin belts work better for her figure.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit.
ReplyDeleteShe is so gorgeous and well put together!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see her in a bold color, like the yellow dress she wore recently. It’s the middle of the summer and she can pull it off
She looks great. Would have preferred something more colorful though.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful dress! And I really have to compliment her hair on this event. Great appearance!
ReplyDeleteThe side part looks so much better than the middle part, which, in my opinion, does not suit anyone, not even a child.
DeleteOops, someone needs to tell Mother Nature for me. Pushing 50 and my parting naturally falls dead centre in spite of the best efforts of several hairdressers over the years! ☺
DeleteStunning !

ReplyDeleteOne word...fantastic!
ReplyDeletePerfection!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks very good! And they look both so happy.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more!
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!! She looks lovely and they seem so happy! One thought/question: why do all of these royal women drag around these little clutches (filled with what? Cough drops ? Lipstick? Kleenex? Cell phone? Feminine products? Money for a pay phone? LOL). Seriously, they have folks who can carry that stuff for them. It would make it so much easier to greet people and shake hands without keeping up with their clutch. Perhaps some think it finishes an outfit but when you are working the way they are it seems silly to me. Now I LOVE my own bags but I am not trying to shake folks' hands all day when I am working. End of rant - as clutches go, hers is very nice :)
ReplyDeleteSehr schick und schön. Sie sind ein sehr schönes Paar.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! But why Meghan allways choose dark colours? It's summer...
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful and so feminine, a real knockout. I would have kept this dress for a little later though, as it follows too soon on a very similar black dress she wore to to the RAF100 Service in London. Is it just my imagination or is Prince Harry also becoming more stylish? Perhaps his wife's influence.
ReplyDeleteWoww 😍😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteLove it - the "old" Meghan is back!!!! Hairdo elegant, dress suits her so good, very charming and warm looking smile, and holding hands with Harry... It' s her natural Charme for which i like her and here it's finally back!
ReplyDeleteWould like to mention here, Etikette says that wine and champagne glasses will be hold by them stem - Royals normally have to know it... ;)
Where do you see the "old" Meghan? The old Meghan wore ripped jeans, very messy hair, and stucked her tongue out in front of the cameras (at the age of 36). I hope these days are over. She looks elegant and ladylike here, although I agree that the dress is too dark.
DeleteThe advantage of being royal is you know etiquette and you ignore the bits that don't suit - personally, I prefer to hold the class by the goblet part even though I know it's "wrong" because it feels more stable.
DeleteI have seen pictures of Catherine Sophie Camilla Anne etc holding the glass in this same manner. I think if you are sitting down for a dinner and only raise to drink then the stem makes sense. But imagine standing for an hour or more with a glass. Not comfortable at all.
DeleteVery nice, in fact gorgeous. Love the style, the earrings and her hair is lovely.
ReplyDeleteShe looks nice but he dress is very odd.....she looks like a homemaid.
ReplyDeleteI see Catriona from Outlander!
ReplyDeleteMeghan's dress is very pretty and finally a perfect fit. I like the bows on the heels of her shoes.
she has lost a littlebit of waist latelly, maybe she is pregnant. i think that the neutral colour scheme she chooses has to do with her skin tone. Like her shoes
ReplyDeleteLovely, very elegant, very classic.
