On June 5, 2018, Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the opening ceremony of the European Development Days 2018 (EDD) held at Tour&Taxis in Brussels. This year the European Development Days (EDD 2018) focuse on women and girls, gender equality and their empowerment. |
Nice to see them together. This blouse does not suite Mathilde unfortunately, I am surprised that she does not realize that herself.
ReplyDeleteNatan strikes again, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is NOT Natan, it is HER choice. I looked obn several occasion to the show case of Natan they propose some pièces in different options.
DeleteBut Mathilde, Maxima and Maria Teresa have all worn terrible outfits all designed by Natan, many of which would look awful on anyone. And that's largely because they're made out of shiny stiff satin - not a brilliant designer. Yes, they should take some responsibility for the choices they make but he crops up over and over again.
DeleteLetizia, wow, beautiful and chic. Mathilde's skirt is stylish but looks too big and the blouse rather old-fashioned. Pink is a good color for her. Nice to see the two together!
ReplyDeleteLetitia wears red like a queen.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Mathilde’s choice today is horrible - it’s clumsy looking and Bobby is so right - Natan at his worst.
At today's EDD 2018 meeting both attended Q Letizia and Q Mathilde. Letizias red suit is wonderful but with shoes and bag red it is a little much, maybe black shoes and bag would have taken the edge off. Q Mathilde's outfit is not a good Natan creation, sorry.
ReplyDeleteHa. Polar opposites. They couldn´t have dressed any more differently.
ReplyDeleteThe dog jumped up with its muddy paws,so disgusted was it to see yet another shiny Natan number (which incidentally could double as a shade on a standard lamp). The blouse is a pretty colour - would prefer it without the frilly neck.
ReplyDeleteLetizia rocks this suit with its simple tailoring and bright colour and for me Mathilde's outfit just looks overly fussy beside it.
Oh no Mathilde, this outfit is not good, waist is too high, skirt is too short, heavy fabric that give you too much volume, you need to be away from this style. On the other side, like the red suit of Letizia, simple and classic cut.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Je n'aime pas! Neiher Mathilde nor Letizia outfit! Letizia is too much red!... And the skirt of Mathilde is a NO to me...
ReplyDeleteLetizia looks professional yet with an edge that I appreciate. Not sure what Mathilde was thinking.....no.
ReplyDeleteLas dos estan muy bellas cada cual con su estilo!
ReplyDeleteProbably the worse outfit for Mathilde. She usually dresses very nicely. Letizia loves red a little too much sometimes, but she looks good.
ReplyDeleteAt simple suit, but with the usual edgy details of Letizia's style. However, the touching of the hair...no! very distracting. Now the student is better than the teacher.
ReplyDeleteLove the top half of Letizia's ensemble, not so keen on the pants with the side split. Letizia's vibrant red washes Mathilde's pale ensemble out, an unfortunate choice of attire.
ReplyDeleteBoth of Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Letizia of Spain look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLetizia se ve moderna, profesional y chic. A su lado, Mathilde parece una muñeca antigua. Pero parecen felices de estar juntas y el tema es muy importante.
ReplyDeleteI love this pantsuit, specially how the closure creates a mock vest underneath, the side splits render some originality, but it would look just as good without them, almost perfect style, but it would have been much improved introducing a different shoe color, flower print, silver, metallic copper grey or even nude, same goes for the hand bag, this is my own preference of course. She still looks stunning. Mathilde's outfit has too much going on, the blouse could have looked better with a slim skirt, I don't like the skirt fabric or cut , I don't think it's very flattering, that being said IMO she doesn't look terrible, just not as good as other times.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Mathilde, not fine but not so terrible!
DeleteMathilde's skirt - awful shape and material and not a match with the blouse. Not at sll flattering.
ReplyDeleteLetizia is better although it is a LOT of red,
I like Mathilde, but here she looks like a champagne cork.
ReplyDeleteGood comparison 👍!
