On May 31 2018, Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by Prince William, Princess Eugenie, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, hosted the second of the annual Buckingham Palace Garden Parties. The Queen welcomed some of today's 8,000 guests, who have come from all walks of life. The Garden Party at The Palace of Holyrood House will take place on Wednesday 4 July. |
A nother Garden Party lots of Royal Ladies everyone seems to look great some of the outfits only the top can be seen, the smile tell all.
ReplyDeleteBig NO for Eugenie - her pose, her ridiculous way, way too short dress, her hat.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree...doesn’t this girl own a mirror!
DeleteAgree, this is not summery and the dress is by far too short...she looked very good on the wedding of her cousion.
DeleteAnd what about the total black in a sanny afternoon garden party?
DeleteIt's not black, it's deep purplish blue, at least according to my screen. I actually like the dress, I don't find it too short.
DeleteThe best thing about Eufenie’s outfit, is the “secret” message in her hat! Love it!
DeleteSadly, I don't like the dress either and it's not because of the color (it is definitely a deep blue with a hint of purple, I think). I think some of her styles (the full skirts) make her look heaver than she is. I found two photos of her fuller skirt styles and one was pretty, but the other (this one and another) were not attractive at all. The difference was the fabric. The pretty one was in a soft fabric and the other two in heavier fabrics. As for the hat and it's message...I love it!

ReplyDeleteLove the older royal ladies--Princess Alexandra and the Duchess of Gloucester--always so elegant. I hate to criticise Eugenie but this is another no--it's too dark for a summer party, too short at the front and generally unflattering
ReplyDeleteI agree. Princess Alexandra is looking very young for her age. I wonder why she is not standing on the stairs with the other royals. I would like to see the rest of her outfit. She is a beautiful and elegant lady
DeleteOh another unfortunate dress for princess beatrice.
ReplyDeletePrincess Beatrice wasn't there. That's Eugenie.
DeleteWhat a treat to see Princess Alexandra!! Such a regal, dignified, classy woman. Her style is almost always impeccable. Her navy hat is just perfect with her dress.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen wore this outfit at her state visit to Frankfurt/Germany 2015, too. :)
ReplyDeleteJust seeing her makes you smile. God save the Queen!
DeleteQueen Elizabeth looks very beautiful. What a wonderful Garden Party The Queen held !
ReplyDeleteWhy is Eugenie standing like that? It's looks stiff and awkward.
ReplyDeleteomg Eugenie, what did you do?
ReplyDeleteEugenie looks good in navy, but it is rather dark for a summer garden party. The waist is flattering and arm ruffles festive for this party. This dress would have been so much better in a lighter color and longer, straight hemline. Hopefully her next appearance will be better.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit looks good on the model, but obviously it is not made for normal women.

ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks extremely cool with her sunglasses! GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty looks wonderful as always, alas her grand-daughter does not. I wish the York girls would take a leaf out of their Grandmother's book and take some style advise or at least buy a mirror. Eugenie's hat is quite nice and I think navy suits her, but her high-low/mullet dress is horrid and there is something very masculine about her stance.
ReplyDeletePrincess Alexandra looks very elegant.
Please do no not show that peacock feather in her hat to Maxima!!
ReplyDeleteLOL :-D
Delete'haha' :-)))
DeleteWho is the lady in brown dress and blue hat?
ReplyDeleteThat is the Duchess of Gloucester, (Birgitte) and her husband is the gentleman beside her, the Duke of Gloucester (Prince Richard).
