The city was established in 1718 by the Spanish mission. On June 17, 2018, the King and the Queen were welcomed by a ceremony held at the Spanish Governor's Palace and the city key of San Antonio was presented to the King and the Queen. Afterwards, the King and the Queen visited Mission San José, together with San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg. |
In the evening, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended an official dinner in San Antonio |
Lovely. Very pretty dress and love the accessories.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia, wears a very beautiful dress which fit on her very well.
ReplyDeleteDear King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, please take a safe trip in US.
ReplyDeleteToday's dress is simple but still elegant. Maybe just a hair to tight, her shoes and bag are a nice match. Enjoy your stay in the USA. Looking forward to Tuesday for a meet and greet at the White House. Letizia and Melania are Style Icon's in their own rights.
ReplyDeletePlease let the current show-off trend of too-tight clothing be over soon. Women who love to dress like that fail to realize that being too tight squishes their boobs and makes them look smaller. But too-tight and sleeveless is what Letizia loves.
ReplyDeleteYep, too tight and sleeveless, Letizia's go-to ...Can't blame her for showing off her figure, but you hit the nail on the head!
DeleteThis is a lovely dress that is simple yet elegant. It is established that Letizia favors a minimalist construction with clean lines that can be worn repeatedly. Today's dress is fitted at the top and is no surprise because she has several with the same look but in different colors. There seems to be a certain fixation with how her boobs look in clothing. She is a woman, there is no way to hide them. Take another look at the mayor of NO. Finally, we all know when the trip will end.
DeleteI totally agree. Most of what she wears is too tight. I´m all for tailored and fitted, but her outfits often look like they are too tight for breathing, sometimes even showing her ribs, and that´s when it´s gone too far. I don´t mind the sleeveless look, and it makes sense in hot climates, but the skin-tight outfits together with the bare arms make for too much focus on her shape (which is great obviously, plus great poise), but shouldn´t be the focus, especially with daywear.
DeleteIn Spain we dress like that, sleeves and a bit tight...
DeleteSleeveless, I meant..
DeleteAnonymous 5.51 the only person mentioning the British Royal Family is you.
DeleteYo no he dicho nada de la "royal family" a quien no conozco, he dicho las britanicos...nada de royal, la gente normal, que obsesión con lo royal!!
DeleteGeez Louise - aggressive much Anonymous 10.50?
DeleteI do apologise for misreading your comment about the British (although I think I could be forgiven for thinking you were referring to them as 1. We are talking about the Queen of Spain 2. This is a blog about Royal fashion.
But yes, I can see why that would lead you to believe that I'm "obsessed with lo royal".
And to return to my original point - you're the only person who mentioned the British so there are no comparisons...
And I don't see what comparisons with the British have to do with the price of fish.
Anonymous 9.32 - then I apologise for my aggressive reply :-)
DeleteBut I'm not looking at from a British perspective - I think she looks fabulous and I'm loving her outfits on this trip, I think they're elegant and perfect for the weather where they are. The only one I wasn't sure about was the first pink one because I thought it made her chest look a bit pointy and I could see her ribs.
Ok Franny, maybe you are right, she has put weight lately... she might need a larger size...
DeleteRegards Anon 9:32
Ps: I'm trying in English.. it's not good, sorry.
As as hot as it is in the American South, being sleeveless is smart! Pity the men with their long sleeve shirts and pants with a coat and tie - they look great but you know they are burning up outside. I don't think this red dress is too tight at all; I really like it!
ReplyDeleteIn Spain in summer women don't wear sleeves...only in her 80s...
DeleteVery pretty dress, fits well, perfect for Texas, in the 90s today! So cute shoes!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think her dress is too tight. Form fitting maybe, but she has the figure to carry it off. Love the pattern and cut of the dress. She is my favorite Roayl.
DeleteShe looks very pretty in both NOLA and San Antonio. She looks happy and relaxed.
ReplyDeleteReally like both dresses. She looks great!
ReplyDeleteToo tight
ReplyDeleteWow, the black and white 3 tired dress is fantastic the makeup jewelry and everything is a perfect 10 out of 10.
ReplyDeleteTrès,très beau couple, si élégants !
ReplyDeleteTrès, très beau couple, si élégants!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the black and white dress with the tiered skirt and the silver shoes. Hair styled up with the front swept to the side is so flattering on her. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe second black and white dress is glorious - I think it has just gone to the top of my favourite Letizia looks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress and beautiful hair for the official dinner. I like Letizia's version of the dress better than the version on the runway model; solid bodice, 1st layer of the skirt shorter and same level as the hips.
