| On June 28, 2018, King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands visited West Friesland region. The purpose of that visit is to see on site economic developments in the region, especially developments in the fields of agriculture, industry and world trade and developments in rural development areas and to receive information. Within this scope, the King and the Queen visit Hoorn, Drechterland, Stede Broec, Enkhuizen and Medemblik cities. |

ReplyDeleteGreat! Maxima looks marvelous - a real queen for The Netherlands. The hat reminds me of the old bonnets - her hat is a bit bigger, of course 😉

ReplyDeleteI like the dress and hat, but not for this occasion. It looks like she's going to a party or a wedding. Very out of place.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the 'meeting' in the road. And Wilhelm also looks like he's going to a wedding, with a flower in his lapel!
ReplyDeleteThe flower is because of Veteransday (which is today in NL), sort of like poppies in GB.
DeleteThese visits are considered 'mini-kingsdays', so that's why Maxima is all dressed up.
Lovely - I think she looks great. Personally, I don't especially find her overdressed as the King is in a suit and tie.
