In the evening of June 11, 2018,, Sophie, Countess of Wessex attended a charity reception and dinner held for the benefit of Leeds Cares (Leeds Children's Hospital Charitable Foundation) at Harewood House in Leeds. Leeds Cares was formerly known as Leeds Hospital Charitable Foundation and re-launched with its current identity in May 2018. (The Countess wore a Andina Llama print silk shirtdress from GALVAN) |
Wonderful smile, earrings are great. Dress not my favorite, but Sophie is!
ReplyDeleteOh lovely Sophie, how you disappoint me with that gown? bathrobe? nightgown?
ReplyDeleteNice colours but like a bathrobe.
DeleteNice colours but like a bathrobe.
Deletethe same! so this summer we just need to buy a bathrobe for all occasions
DeleteBeautiful jewelry, but this gown is like a robe with a very high slit on the side. Css Sophie you really can do better then this, please go and change.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea to use this print for this occasion was a good one, but the end result doesn't work. This type of button down-shirt -long sleeved dress, never, ever works on floor length, it looks like a robe, the side slit makes no sense for Sophie's type or style, I am not talking about being appropriate or not, it's just disconnected.
ReplyDeleteHer smile was the best accessory on this event.
This is a piece that only maxima could get away with.
ReplyDeleteSleeves should be shorter and those earrings don't work well with the dress
ReplyDeleteLooks more something that Queen Maxima would wear, I like the splash of colors , not sure about the length pethapp too long.
ReplyDeleteI think it would look better if she had worn it like the model with the neck buttoned up and the belt on the waist not hanging below the waist.
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly awful look: too long sleeves, too long dress, too long slit - no sweater anyway!
ReplyDeleteActually, there’s a blue pashmina hanging on her arm in one of the photos (almost worse than a cardigan).
DeleteOverall nothing to like about this look.
This is not a good look at all, it looks like something to wear over a swimsuit. The slit does not work at all and the long sleeves either.
ReplyDeleteI like the material but I think it would work better as a short dress for daytime. Hair, make up and jewellery are lovely.
ReplyDeleteSophie in print silk satin dress looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteDisaster. The guys are in black tie and she's in a bathrobe! Horrible material anyway.
ReplyDeleteAgree Heather, terrible look. She did so well the day before in the shorter dress.
DeleteI don't like this dress at all. I like Sophie though.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous print, sadly wrong style for such a pretty print. This lovely material would make a lovely summer frock, even this dress would work if it was knee length and had short sleeves.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Sophie in suck pretty colours, the print and her jewellery look lovely on her, just not the style of the dress.
I like Sophies style a lot usually, but today I'm not so happy.
ReplyDeleteNice pattern but the cut of the dress is not very nice.
And pattern and cut are both not so appropiate for a reception
El estampado me gusta, pero ese vestido debería acabar debajo de la rodilla. Lo siento, Sophie.
ReplyDeleteNice dress n occasion. Lovely summer colours.
