I have lost a great deal of respect for her when I saw how she treated her mother-in-law at the Easter photoshoot. Some have said that she was trying to protect the children from certain photographers but that is a bit hard to believe since she let them take the pictures.
Sofia did not observe the protocol and put her granddaughter in an awkward position. Since Sofia is the one who enjoys the most 'popularity' in the family, she could have let it be known that she had startled the girl and that the incident was a misunderstanding. It would have put an end to most of the awful speculations. Instead that child was trolled as rude in the gossip press and on social media, doing harm to her image, because Grandma had to have a picture before the procession ended. Letizia was right.
Agree Linda. Can't look at Letizia the same way anymore either. No matter what happened in that situation there surely was a different way to handle that. I felt and still do that Letizia was quite aggressive
All that hatred towards a person you don't know is a visible proof of considerable bitterness, a lot of frustration reflected in your own mirror . Thankfully, she is way ahead of all this misery. I am not going to go too far into this. Some comments discredits itselfs.
Queen Letizia looks great today very well put together, the earring are a good choice too.The Columbian First Lady looks more like she is wearing a lazier suit, well as long as she like it it is fine with me.
Queen Letizia looks great! Classic style and beautiful, healthy looking hair. One should be careful to judge her or their family when we do not know all the details from Easter.
Letizia looks great most of the time. Rarely misses it. However she often dresses like a business woman. IMO she needs softer clothes with fluid lines and lighter make up.
Letizia: Nothing new here. Perfectly styled, perfectly chic, perfectly boring if I may say so. First Lady of Colombia: Something different. Not many First Ladies would wear a pantsuit for a welcoming reception like this. It has a nice style and design, and looks casual yet is still chic. Best of all, she wears it well. She's the winner here for me.
Your dislike for the Queen of Spain is duly noted. Please move on, so the adults can comment about fashion with the respect and good manners that are characteristic of this forum. I always liked the cut and detail of this dress, but never warmed up to the fabric, it does remind me of a towel, that being said, Letizia manages to make it look chic and polished.
No es "ideal" para un almuerzo precisamente, tan blanco y ceñido, no puede ni respirar. Por otro lado, el tejido se ve gastado, y su pelo no muy arreglado.
I know that there is very thin line between moderation and censorship, but Ms. Electra has very wise advice at the end of her blog, in regards to her expectations of respect and decorum from the participants, and it's clear that she reserves her right of deleting certain comments. In my humble opinion she could start with some of the comments above, that are nothing but character assassination, and idle gossip of a public figure. I have seen these agitators destroy perfectly civil blogs which I used to visit, but now have become just another social media outlets to vent frustrations, advance certain agendas, and spread ridiculous theories. Their MO is to start changing the tone, and intent of the forum with demeaning comments that appeal to a few of their kind, and before long it's just a group of haters that can't wait to disparage their " victims" with rumors and vulgar narrative. I am not here to fight Letizia's battles, I feel exactly the same way towards any other person that is portrayed on this space, and I would hate to see this blog go downhill because of trolling. I apologize for this lengthy opinion, and I hope that nobody feels offended by my comment. Regards
No need to apologize. You have nailed it. Some years ago the spanish magazine Hola! closed down its blog on royalty due to a small but very active group of trolls.
As far as possible, I try to be fair and unbiased. Many comments involving insult are sent, I review the comments one by one and publish them, however some comments escape from my attention. These comments are in different languages so I have difficulty to understand some of them. If you warn me about these comments, you may be sure that I will do what is necessary.
Hello Ms Electra. I love this space because the participants are respectful whether they agree or not. It is only natural that on occasion we will deviate from the essence of this blog, and make comments about certain issues unrelated to fashion, but when the professional agitators enter these forums, its the beginning of the end. Thanks again for your fantastic blog.

Appropiate and classic outfit but I add a bit of colour.

DeleteLetizia looks her usual stylish self - very nice. I like the outfit of the Colombian first lady as well - it's a bit different.
