Every year, Business for Peace Foundation holds a summit in Oslo. This year's summit is held on May 15-16 with the theme "Building Trust: Accelerating Climate Leadership.". Yesterday evening, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave a dinner at Skaugum for attendees of Business for Peace Summit 2018. At the dinner, the Princess wore a new white dress by Valentino and Brenda shoes by Malone Souliers. |
I love everything about this outfit, especially the fit.
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes!😚
ReplyDeleteThis looks good. So nice and sleek. All that frilly stuff she usually prefers is so unnecessary, weighs her down and distracts. Goes to show that less is indeed more.
ReplyDeleteI would actually like this dress even better if it was knee-length but I´ll take this over those floaty floral frilly stuff any day.
Also, this is the right fit around her arms and shoulders. And it is so nice to see a neckline that allows her to breathe. So refreshing. Gorgeous.
All your comments are right on point Vanessa S, but especially about the neckline and the all important fit. MM looks happy and relaxed probably because she feels comfortable in this outfit. She and Camilla are two blondes who can wear white and cream very well. Her shoes add that little bit of colour and pattern perfectly, without being distracting. Full marks to her.
DeleteAgree 100%. She looks so beautiful here.
DeleteI agree with everything you said Vanessa, especially the neckline and the overall fit. One of the best looks we have seen MM with in a long time. This style works for her! Great!
DeleteI love this outfit. A beautiful dress that fits her perfectly. Very nice neckline. the shoes are very nice to this outfit. She is such a beautiful princess!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit
ReplyDeleteYes, this outfitis very elegant.I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteThis Valentino is great also the shoes is a nice contrast.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, flowing dress. This color looks good on her.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and the shoes just add that little touch of colour.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! She is stunning, inside and out. I recommend tou all to see this interview with her. Modern, compassionate and bright. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vPI4X3hyzo0&t=3s
ReplyDeleteTord Stromme Pettersen, you beat me to it. About 7 months ago I watched that interview (I know it was 7 months ago because I just saw my comment below the video, lol) and I will tell you that of all the Royal ladies featured on this blog, nice as they are, MM earns my respect the most by far. Not only is she smart, intelligent and compassionate as you say, but I was really impressed by how well and how throughly and articulately she discussed the topics, with a deep understanding of the issues. She is calm, composed and professional, and knowing how well Scandinavians speak English (some are my relatives), her command of the language is higher than many native English speakers I know.
ReplyDeleteMaxima is a financial professional and Mary gets deeply involved in many socioeconomic issues making those interests parts of their work, but MM is right up there with them. Nicest of all, she is quiet and so understated about it all. Nothing showy. She will be a wonderful queen beside Haakon, and a leader in these matters if she decides to be more involved. I've been meaning to post about this interview since I first saw it, but I don't post here very often (only read), so thank you for doing so.
Well done Mette Marit!
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous in this dresss, perfect fit,and the shoes a plus.
ReplyDeleteBravo Mette-Marit. Godet and waterfall - that are two of the incredients for your fashion recipe.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
