Today is the 50th birthday of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. On the occasion of that birthday, various events are held. On May 26, Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and their children Princess Isabella, Prince Christian, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine watched changing of the Royal Guards at Amalienborg Palace Square from the balcony of Frederik VIII Palace and greeted the crowd that gathered in front of the palace. On the occasion of the 50th birthday celebrations of the Crown Prince, the Queen will host a gala banquet at Christiansborg Palace this evening. (Princess Mary is wearing her VILSHENKO dress) |
Mary has worn this dress before, so has Charlene of monaco. Queen should have chosen a less vibrant dress since its not her day 😒
ReplyDeleteLess vibrant? It is always the Queen's day. Besides it is Daisy! She is vibrant always! Happy to see her in red/pink/fuschia because she has been mourning and it is time to smile again!
DeleteWhen a son gets 50 it's also the mother's day! I like this woman very much.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Rachel! I've always celebrated birthdays as a day about the child and the mother. Her Majesty is an amaizing, accomplished woman. Easy to like.
DeleteI love this dress by Vilshenko! I think both she and Charlene of Monaco wear it very well. Hard to say who wore it best.
ReplyDeleteMary. Those colours don't work well on Charlene.
DeleteFirst and foremost a very happy 50st Birthday to the CP. It seems the older he gets the better he looks, salt and pepper hair look good on him. I hope the family and all the guests have a wonderful celebration, they will remember for a while. Everyone looked great.
ReplyDeleteMary is the most beautiful and elegant queen in all the world
DeleteNot a Queen....yet
DeleteMary isn't a Queen.
DeleteThey look great. I like this dress by Vilshenko very much.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks fab in the bright pink - she must be sad Henrik isn't here to see it with her, but very proud of her son. Also, she's the Queen - she can wear what she likes because it's always about her.
She needs to abdicate already, let her son be King. Like Beatrix of the Nederlands did.
ReplyDeleteNin Pujol, that's very unlikely. Denmark, unlike the Netherlands, does not have the tradition of abdication. Danish monarchs serve till death . Guessing from the recent interviews with Her Majesty it looks like she does not intend to start a new tradition.
DeleteHappy 50th Birthday Prince Frederik of Denmark !
ReplyDeleteHandsome Prince. They all look beautiful and happy. Vincent and Joséphine are so adorable! The Queen looks stunning!
ReplyDelete@petite fleur - je suis d'accord avec tous
DeleteI love this dress, so pretty. Mary wears it beautifully.
