Goverment authorities, academicians, editors, critics, teachers and authors attended the lunch to honor author Sergio Ramirez Mercado who was deemed worthy of this year's literature award. |
Perfect from a to z! IMO
ReplyDeleteLetizia est très élégante, cet ensemble gris-bleu lui va bien.
ReplyDeleteLetizia's dress, matching shoes and clutch, earrings -- perfectly exquisite, absolute elegance!
ReplyDeleteNot especially fond of these types of lace but she looks good. The blue grey is very flattering and the tailoring is, as usual, impeccable.
ReplyDeleteEl vestido es de color verde agua, Franny; es el de la 1ª Comunión de Sofía. La iluminación interior engaña.
DeleteI thought it looked familiar.
DeleteWonderful,Letizia smile a little more ,it do not hurt
ReplyDeleteLetizia está sonriendo en todas las fotos excepto en la que está escuchando el discurso de su marido. Comentario absurdo, a no ser que usted pretenda que sonrían los zapatos y la cartera...
DeleteGorgeous outfit but maybe bordering a teensy bit on "mother of the bride/groom".
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes. She looks elegant as always.
ReplyDeleteLess than spectacular in my opinion. Something Kate might wear-but Letizia usually has a little more flair. Not her best showing. Also, it could be just my impression, but she seems to have less of a glow since the Easter scandal, there’s something sad-ish in her countenance.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of so much lace, but if she likes it that is what matters most. The person who is being honoured and their family should receive the attention they deserve. No time for a flashy new outfit. In the last showing she wore a severe hairstyle and looked like someone's mother, also the right approach, since the day was about little Sofia.
DeleteWhen you host a lunch to honor someone awarded with such an important literary prize as the Miguel de Cervantes you must not strive to be spectacular, but adequate to the occasion. The center of attention should be none other than the awarded person, in this case the Nicaraguan writer Sergio Ramírez Mercado, who was also Vicepresident of his country from 1985 to 1990. As you can see Queen L. and Ms. Gertrudis Guerrero Mayorga, the writer's wife, are dressed at the same "level", precisely the level that the event required. And by the way, Have you a glowmeter? Is it analogic or digital? How could I get one?
DeleteShe nails it here.
ReplyDeleteLove the look!
