Queen Máxima and Princess Beatrix attended 15th anniversary of Prince Claus Chair

April 12, 2018 is 15th anniversary of "Prince Claus Chair". On the occasion of that anniversary, a celebration event was held at Noordeinde Palace today. Dutch Princess Beatrix also attended the event and Queen Maxima gave an opening speech.

The Prince Claus Chair is a rotating chair. Appointments are made alternately in the Hague and Utrecht University at ISS. Both institutions use the chair for the purpose of encouraging research and education in development cooperation according to the views and ideas of the late Prince Claus. Professor Louise Gunning chairs the curatorium of the Prince Claus Chair. Queen Maxima is the patron of the Prince Claus Chair. Since September 1, 2017, Dr. Ali Bilgiç holds the Prince Claus Chair at the International Institute of Social Studies for a duration of two years.

  2. Lovely dress, I like the idea of a scarf, but I am unsure as to whether I like it wrapped this way. I will wait to see better pictures, these area little far.

    I guess she felt the dress needed something and I think the scarf looks okay, given that it's Maxima.

  4. Lovely - another lady who always looks fabulous in red. I don't think the scarf is necessary but it looks fine.
