On the fourth day of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, Queen Elizabeth gave a dinner for Commonwealth Heads of Government and their spouses in the Blue Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace yesterday evening. Her Majesty gave a speech at the dinner. Royal family members attended the dinner. |
lady of the night Queen Elizabeth II. Much respect for this lady she will be 92 tomorrow. Happy Birthday your majesty.💞
ReplyDeleteYes much respect for her. Her jewelry seems quite heavy to wear for her, maybe she would be better of with a "lighter" necklace. Up to her of course.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why Beatrice and Eugenie never wear tiaras..
ReplyDeleteBecause they are not married.
DeleteEugenie will wear one at these events after she marries in October 2018.
Deleteinteresting :-) never knew that only married women wear tiaras :-)
DeleteThis is only true among the British royal family--and may not be true of all British royal occasions--but this is a very formal event.
DeleteThe Swedish, Spanish and Norwegian princesses wore tiaras years before their weddings. Also, I think there are photos of Princess Anne wearing the Halo tiara before she married Mark Phillips, but not sure.
The Queen looks wonderful - a remarkable 92-year-old lady!

ReplyDeleteThe Queen continues to amaze me, sparkling and sharp at 92. As Meghan said in her engagement interview:'"She is an incredible woman." Sophie looks lovely. Her aquamarine tiara suits her perfectly. Beatrice heavy dark eye makeup is unfortunate; she looks ill and cartoonish.
ReplyDeleteQueen Elizabeth is alway's in perfect style. She is who she is a Queen in every sense of the word.Your Majesty,I hope you have a very happy 92nd Birthday in midst of your family and the Nation. My mother would be 102 if she would still be with us.God bless the Queen.
ReplyDeleteThe queen and all the members of royal family look fantastic, but of course, the queen is the highlight :-) amazing! God bless her!
ReplyDeleteI would love to know what socks the canadian premier wore, need to look at dailymail's website later, if someone knows, then they xD
They all look fantastic but the Queen is the star of the night.
ReplyDeleteI am uncertain about Princess Anne’s dress. The ‘puffy’ sleeves are dated and i wish she would change her hairstyle. Beatrice’s eyes are too heavily made up. I saw her in London (at a distance) and all you notice was two black rings. She should be more confident in herself. Apart from this, they all look good.
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting that Beatrice's eye makeup has the same effect in person and it's not just the lighting of the room and camera angle.
DeleteUnfortunately that is the case Pine. She has large eyes and women with large eyes really do not need heavy eye makeup.
DeleteI suspect that Princess Anne has "can't do anything with it" hair, and perhaps decided long ago to stick with one style and forget about it. It looks heavily teased, though, and I can't imagine how much time must be devoted to brushing it out each night!
DeleteHappy birthday your majesty! May you live long and happy! You are such an amazing person, an example to us all!
ReplyDeleteDazzling!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gown and necklace on Princess Anne! -- kind of an Edwardian look. It's hard to see her tiara, but I think it's the Festoon, my favorite tiara of all time. Lovely...
