On April 20, 2018, Countess Sophie of Wessex visited Kew Gardens in southwest London together with spouses of heads of government who attend Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM2018). Countess Sophie of Wessex planted a tree donated by QueensCanopy which is an initiative aiming to protect forests in Commonwealth countries. Kew Gardens is in UNESCO's World Heritage List. |
A nice summery look for a very warm day in London.
ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteLovely Spring colors and flowing ease. The draped back of this dress is very graceful.
ReplyDeleteCountesss Sophie;s dress today is OK,all in all it is very blah. The back of the dress would have looked better in the front. She need's a haircut the hair is to long, maybe also different shoes.Sorry she usually looks very good and wears great colors, only MO.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite royal Brit, she does look a little messy
ReplyDeleteA "nothing special" summer dress. Is it so warm in the UK? Still frigid in eastern Canada.
ReplyDeleteAgree the back looks better than the front, lol. And agree that long shapeless hair is a bit much after 50.
28 degrees in Central London this afternoon.
DeleteI like the dress and I like her hair. She looks good with it down.
ReplyDeleteI agree it's so refreshing to see her with hair down. She looks ten years younger.
ReplyDeleteCertainly not her best outfit or hairdo. Wickstead or not, the dress is totally uninspired. Also, proportions are not flattering for Sophie’s height and body, colours are washed out and make her look washed out. And fabrics wedges with an elegant clutch? Presumably Sophie has no stylist, so I guess she just had a bad, uninspired morning. She is my age (slightly older) so I don’t see an issue with her longer hair ‘for her age’ (lol..), however she doesn’t have a thick and full enough hair for this length. Maybe a different haircut could work better for her.
