On the second day of their state visit to Canada, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Canadian War Museum (CWM) in Ottawa on March 13, 2018. The King and the Queen presented the 18-pound field gun that fired the last shots of the First World War near the City of Mons as Canadian soldiers liberated the city on November 11, 1918. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are in Canada for a six-day visit. |

ReplyDeleteNeither do I. The top is so shiny that it seems radioactive and the skirt seems to be made out of upholstery material. And it's a pity that a nice hairdo is crowned by that poultice-like headpiece.
DeleteI agree! I don't think it s a good outfit and the colors are not flattering. I understand that the headpiece has maple leaves and is a reminiscence to Canada but I still don't like it. I never like headpieces: a nice hairdo, a hat or a tiara when it fits in. Headpieces and fascinators look almost always silly.
DeleteI'm guessing from the shininess that the outfit is Natan. Don't mind the top bit or the skirt bit but the not convinced they go together.
