ReplyDeleteThe somber colors fit the context of the occasion. Good Friday marks the death of Christ on the cross. Bright colors are usually reserved for and used on Easter Sunday. The contrast is intentional, the purpose is to amplify the joy.

Thank you, Chris. Good Friday is a very solemn day. The meaning of a day/appearance should always be considered by representatives of a country and the Monaco family has done so.

ReplyDeleteWell, as a lifelong follower of the Grimaldi family I don't think it left. Caroline did a good job for many years while Albert decided whether he would marry or not. It is nice that there is a Princely Family to focus on now and I like Charlene's approach to fashion - she takes risks and has fun.
DeleteCharlene has not "brought back glamour and elegance". Caroline and her daughter, the former Gucci-Model Charlotte, always had glamour and elegance. Nowadays Beatrice Borromeo also has.
