I never liked the look of crossbody purses until I tried one. Thry are wonderful - they don’t fall off your shoulders and they are so easy to reach into to grab whatever you need.

Hero, does it look to you like Meghan has lost weight? Wondering whether that is why her clothes look kind of large. She seems very thin in the side shot with her purse (when she is next to her helper--the woman with the blond hair). I still love this coat, though.

ReplyDeleteThe tartan coat is quite nice, but the trousers are awful--too long and too voluminous. I like the purse, but not work across the body with this coat. The proportions are wrong and the bag is pushed to far onto the back. It looks awkward and detracts form the overall look. I agree with Rose about the hair and the problems with the "coiffé decoiffé" look.

DeleteShe loooks absolutely lovely. And its probably very cold where she is, so dressing warmly is a smart idea. She's not showing off in any radical bright colors, prints, florals, etc. just simply understated and you can't go wrong with that. She wears black well, also neutral tones --- great look for Meghan -- keep it up!!

DeleteI love the coat and the trousers could do with being shorter but I like the whole understated look. I can't say I've noticed her style has changed radically since she became engaged. She's careful to use some British brands and the tartan was a nice touch. The coat looks lovely and warm as it is very cold here.

I think she is lovely and they make a dynamic couple. I don’t think she is hiding behind him, I just think she is learning the Royal ropes and letting him take the lead. We don’t see as many PDAs either. I personally wish the British Royals would loosen up on that but they won’t. I predict this couple will eclipse the Cambridge’s in popularity at least for a while.

ReplyDeleteI find the the coat right on point with the visit, and the pants are very trendy, however both pieces seemed a little too large, and although I tend to wear my pants on the longer side, on this instance they look excessive long, also I think maybe boots or bootie style shoes would have looked better, the cross body purse is lovely. Personally I don't find anything wrong with her hair, looking at the pictures outdoors is easy to see that the other women had their hair exactly like hers, and the is what a little wind does, the photos indoors show impecable hair.

DeleteShe probably doesn’t have much of a stylist or a clothing alowance yet as a fiancé of a royal. And while I agree that she isn’t showing much style innovation, she certainly looks more professional that either Crown Princess Mary or Queen Letizia when they were fiancés. I remember QLeti wearing shirts to a daytime event and CPMary wearing a goth pants outfit to a white tie event!!

ReplyDeletePlease all remember that Meghan spent her childhood and adolescence in a Catholic school uniform. She may just be naturally a conservative dresser who leans toward darker clothes. Her acting career required bold and colorful choices but we really don't know exactly what she wore in her personal life every day. And the black pants are fashionable right now--long is in

ReplyDeleteShe looks great. She is who is is. Harry is marrying a 36 year old woman. She has her own style and I don't think that will change. I am so excited to see her continue to evolve and rock the style boat a bit, like she did with their engagement photos and their engagement photo shoot in general. How refreshing to see a royal wear trousers, modern, sleep, a crossbody bag. Super excited to see what lies ahead...and as a former, successful actress, I am worried about her bringing the glam when she needs to. She will bring the glam x 10 :) Super exciting and glad she is sticking to her own guns as one would expect from a modern, 36 year old, successful in her own right woman.
