| On December 23, 84th birthday celebrations of Emperor Akihito of Japan continued with various events throughout the day. A reception and a tea party were held at the Imperial Palace in the afternoon. Accredited ambassadors in Tokyo and Japanese politicians who attended the reception congratulated 84th birthday of Emperor Akihito. A banquet was held for Imperial family members in the evening. Imperial Household Agency released new photos on the occasion of 84th birthday of the Emperor. |

ReplyDeleteThose walking at nature pictures are lovely. They are such a sweet old couple. Empress Michiko looks stylish with simple well cut clothes. That greenish kimono in fourth pic is very beautiful. It is odd why the other royal ladies have to dress the way they do when it is so different than the empress´es style.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the family (next to the last photo) they're wearing non-traditional clothing. I don't believe the woman in the kimono is family.
