Queen Sonja visited the Galerie MøllerWitt in Aarhus, Denmark

Queen Sonja of Norway was in Aarhus, to present a joint exhibition with Magne Furuholmen. Yesterday, Queen Sonja opened "Texture" exhibition at Galerie MøllerWitt in Aarhus, Denmark. The two of them have been collaborating on a new series of prints over the last year and a half, which has resulted in an exhibition called Texture. Their work on Texture started in New York in April 2015, when they did three days of experimenting at the Universal Limited Art Editions workshop on Long Island.

  1. What a talented pair and big surprise to me. I knew she was trained in clothing design and she always looks beautiful. I love her jacket - or is it a stole? - and wonder if she created it.

  2. These prints are gorgeous! I assume her beautiful shawl is one of the prints also. Wow.

  3. I find Queen Sonja simply remarkable. She is always well dressed, her makeup and hair always trendy, subtle and beautiful. And to think she is 80 years old.

    1. So true! She is a role model for all ladies her age. She totally looks her age, she has wrinkels and all. I don't think she has much work done on her face. But she puts a little effort to retain her weight, always has her hair nicely done and wears a soft makeup, wears clothes that fit and suit her. Classy but in fact very simple!

  4. I did not know that Queen Sonia was an artist. Beautiful pictures, beautiful chemistry between the two artists of two generations. Great how her shawl merges with the pictures. I would love to hang one of these pictures on my walls. Great work! Love it!
