On October 31, 2017, Princess Alexandra visited Care for Veterans in Worthing, West Sussex. Care for Veterans was established in 1919 and at that time it was known as the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home. Since then, the purpose of Care for Veterans has been to maintain a home-like environment for the people living in it. |
Anyone who served in the military forces at any time and with any title, and who now needs to receive residential nursing care can apply to live in Care for Veterans. Women were first admitted into Care for Veterans from 2006. |
Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth's cousin is patron or president of more than 100 organizations operating in fields ranging from the arts to health care. |

ReplyDeleteSo elegant and dignified.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up she was so popular and was featured in a lot of magazines etc. I remember her wedding. It's lovely to see glimpses of her now and then. Still charming and elegant.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet photo with those adorable little children!
