On November 24, 2017, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London. The Royal Variety Charity is a British charity based in England. It is dedicated to giving support to those who have professionally served the entertainment industry and find themselves sick, impoverished or elderly. Queen Elizabeth II is the current sole life-patron of the charity. (The Duches wore a new blue gown by Jenny Packham) |
Very nice. She looks well. I love the dress and prefer it in this icy blue colour. Make up is good and her hair is better this slightly shorter length. I wish she wouldn't clutch her evening bag in front of her like that, though.
ReplyDeleteShe always has her hands in front of her lower abdomen. No nice.
DeleteLovely dress - the colour, the sparkle.
ReplyDeleteMagnifique Kate,
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteUnpopular opinion: I dont like this dress. the sparkle takes it away from her beautiful lace.
ReplyDeleteWhile other Royal houses are working at meetings and seminars, Kate and William are being entertained once again.
ReplyDeleteIt's the Royal Variety Performance - it happens every year, has done for goodness how many years, in front of members of the royal family. This year it happens to be them. Yes, it's a show in a theatre but it's still a duty.
DeleteAs you sure red above this was charity event.
DeleteThey just had 2/3 assignments in the last few days, none of which had anything to do with entertainment.
DeleteAnd I doubt this would be their choice if it was merely for "entertainment".
DeleteGot your facts wrong. The Duke and Duchess do many work related visits which not mentioned here. And by the way this is a fashion blog. My opinion seminars and meetings should not be on this blog. Most of the time Royal ladies attending these meetings are horrible dressed.
DeleteMichelle: The event is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, formally, the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund, of which the Queen is patron. The money raised from the show helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who need aid and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health or hard times. More from Wikipedia: "The charity is believed to be one of the few charities in the UK that has an unbroken line of patronage from the reigning monarch since George V in the early twentieth century. Queen Elizabeth II is the current sole life-patron of the charity."
DeleteCatherine looks fantastic. Dress, shoes, dangling diamonds--dazzling.
ReplyDeleteI love it! But WOW many bloggers hate it! It is blingy and whimsical and kind of like ice on a cold sunny day. Fun! I can imagine that Charlotte would find her Mummy beautiful and 'Princess like' 😉 Elsa! I really like it!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Diane, that is so true! This is a little girl's fantasy dress! I hope Charlotte was able to see her Mum before she left for the theatre!
DeleteYes! Kissed by sparkling snowflakes!
DeleteLOL! 😊
Delete🤗🤗😊
DeleteWonderful, classy, feminine!
ReplyDeleteAgree with Masha. Stunning look for the Duchess of Cambridge
DeleteI like the dress I think it's fashionable. When Catherine got a haircut I was so happy that finally her hair won't be too much but the only thing happened is that her hair is shorther. It's still to much, it's everywhere. She should try a layered hair and sometimes I think a simple straight hairstyle would be nice. No need to have those curls all the time. With this dress I think she would have been more elegant and feminime and would have looked like a real royal person if she had worn her hair in an updo.
ReplyDeleteLove it, she looks SO good.
ReplyDeleteIMO the "under" dress is too short. It would look better if it would be floor lenght.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, you can hardly notice her pregnancy. The dress is beautiful and I think the underskirt is a good length. This style is very popular now and at least she didn’t go with the much shorter version.
