Today, Duchess Catherine of Cambridge hosted a roundtable meeting on maternal mental health held with The Royal Foundation, at Kensington Palace. |
At least 20% of women are affected by mental health problems in the first year following birth and that disorder may cause permanent effects on the mother and her family. The meeting was held for the purpose of developing supports which can be given to the mothers who encounter that problem. |
She looks radiant! Touché :)
ReplyDeleteI can't see very much of what she is wearing but she looks healthy and terrific!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an important topic. I think the 20% figure may be understating the incidence.
ReplyDeleteAnd she does look radiant!
I agree! So good that mental health gets lifted in the spotlight! She looks really good.
DeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an important topic, I've never had a child, but had a hysterectomy this past summer and have had a lot of stress from work and between all this, there have been times I felt like I was just holding on by my fingernails. It's almost a joke and there isn't much support, but the feelings of sometimes not quite being in control are frightening.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best, Arizona Girl! Don't lose courage!
DeleteHellen, I am so impressed that you can figure out what Catherine is wearing from that photo! And I love the jacket.
ReplyDeleteShe is just glowing! Glad she is up and about again!
