Last night, on November 7, 2017, Countess Sophie of Wessex has hosted a reception to celebrate the Mencap’s 70th anniversary at Buckingham Palace. Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers. In 1986, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother became the patron of Mencap. The Countess of Wessex took on the role as Patron in 2004. |
