Georgeous dress! I like almost everything from Vilshenko (I'm crazy about national costumes and all what's mimicking them in a nice quality way)but these clothes have their own "personality" and that is bothering me with Mary. I don't think she is in the same tunes as dress she is wearing; yes, it fits her well but that's all. And shoes choice is miss again.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It´s like she´s wearing costumes.
DeleteDisagree with you both. Her clothes are beautiful and appropriate for the tour. She looks poised and elegant. The clothes need to be understated for foreign tours.

ReplyDeleteDo what? Do you think their main hobby is trying to rub a crystal ball and try to focus who other will ever have the same clothes? Or to count what other princesses, queen or what so ever are having. Probably they and their stylists pick up clothes they like months, sometimes even years, before they will be wearing the particular cloth. If I remember right, Mathilde and Maxima did once have both the same dress in same situation where they were together and it did not bother them at all, they were just laughing.
DeleteHer dresses on this trip all seem to be a blur of sameness - both style and bland pale colours.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteThe women at the Japanese court wear all brigth colors, due to the very strict rules there. So, Mary does it out of courtesy and shows respect.
Deleteoh i like that dress!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely and elegant.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lady!
ReplyDeleteLike Japan, Blossoms peach and pink, pale colours are the delight of their race.
ReplyDeleteMary would have made sure that she blended in, and out of respect, that was her way of showing such gracefulness.
Very beaufitul dress. Perhaps I would have choosen different shoes but overall she looks great!
ReplyDeleteShe has worn this dress before and Charlene of Monaco also has this dress by Vilshenko. I actually love this dress. I love most of Vilshenkos' clothes. There is another fashion line I would love for some of these royal women to discover and that is Needle and Thread. I think those beautiful clothes would look wonderful on Mary and also the Duchess of Cambridge.
