Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito visited Japan’s National Archive to see the exhibition called "Japan and Denmark: Valuable Records of the Historical Relation" in Tokyo, which was created in cooperation with the Danish National Archive. |
The exhibition consists of more than 80 valuable documents and historically preserved materials, all of which document the 150 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan. |
After all those perfect looks of lately, this..... I get the "dress-to-flatter-your-host" idea, I just don`t think one should mimic their national dress (kimono, in this case), in too long and at least one size too large, as well...
ReplyDeleteI second that. Diplomatic dressing taken way too literally. It´s almost kitschy. And the fact that it doesn´t fit well is just so ironic, because Japanese tailoring is usually impeccable.
DeleteAgree!
DeleteHow can Mary always be extremely beautiful? She looks fantastic, her hairstyle is amazing I'm in love with it. She looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteCP Mary is ever so thoughtful! Her Kimono inspired dress is just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
Deletebeautiful
ReplyDeleteWonderful choice to respect Japanese culture. I am sure this dress was even much better IRL than in these pics.
ReplyDeletePrincess Mary looks particularly beautiful, feminine and graceful on this visit to Japan.
ReplyDeleteToo much of white color dresses in this Japan trip.
ReplyDeleteI like it but it's much too big for her - which I don't find flattering.
ReplyDeleteAgree! It's not flattering.
DeleteYes, this dress has a slight dressing gown vibe, but it is a beautiful fabric and I think it is also quite elegant and soft. CPM looks beautiful in it.
ReplyDeletemy only comment is on the sleeves. why make it froofy then narrow and tighten in the bottom.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again. Why does he want yo look so scruffy with that sort-of beard?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, there is a dressing- gown vibe to Mary's dress. Not flattering.
