  1. Nice hair, but weird skirt. She does have a very different fashion sense.

    1. it was probably hidden in the tassels of her skirt :-)

    2. Or ripped off to make those tassels. At least, her hair was okay. The woman certainly has flamboyant taste.

  3. Classic fabulous Maxima. What a life force she has and her exhuberant clothing expresses it. Maxima's ancestry was traced back to the Portuguese royal family after she met WA.

  7. These comments are really funny and I have to agree. Neck up and accessories are lovely but the in-between is a puzzle.

  11. Another bad choice for Maxima !!! Horrible outfit !!!! In this case she has lost the sense of elegance and fashion !!!!!

  12. Well, I guess she does it this way: she finds something that works for her (pastel colours/blush/nude, interesting skirt, fascinator with a "twist", asymmetrical top), then works on from there, upgrades / amplifies it when she gets used to it or bored by it and - as she has the money and the "stage" - she sometimes goes over the top and doesn`t even notice it. This could - and does sometimes - happen to some of us too.

    1. Yes, indeed, this could happen to us, but not to the queen of holland that gets our tax money to be invested in her advice. The last time she is only showing off, something that the dutch deeply disaprove.
Doe normaal Maxima, dan doe je al gek genoeg

    2. I understand - not being Dutch and living in a country with no royal family, I hadn`t thought of it this way. Would you mind translating the last sentence - I only understand some of the words?
