On the lst day of Portugal visit, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Sintra. Dutch royal couple visited the Palace of Sintra (Portuguese: Palácio Nacional de Sintra, also called Palácio da Vila). Then, the couple visited the National Fire Service School (Portuguese: Escola Nacional de Bombeiros - ENB) in Sintra. |
Nice hair, but weird skirt. She does have a very different fashion sense.
ReplyDeleteMaxima, the dressmaker called - she found the other sleeve!
ReplyDeleteit was probably hidden in the tassels of her skirt :-)
DeleteOr ripped off to make those tassels. At least, her hair was okay. The woman certainly has flamboyant taste.
DeleteClassic fabulous Maxima. What a life force she has and her exhuberant clothing expresses it. Maxima's ancestry was traced back to the Portuguese royal family after she met WA.
ReplyDeleteYes, had to find a little bit of blue blood then
DeleteDressed in feathers, during the day, oh, no, not again!
ReplyDeleteIk begrijp haar ook niet. Geld genoeg om haar te laten adviseren.
DeleteDear Els Slagter, I don`t speak Dutch, but I did unterstand your comment and I loved it!
Deletefeathers, best choise to visit a firemen school
ReplyDeleteYes, the perfect choice!
DeleteI found her sleeve... she ripped it off to make whatever that headpiece is
ReplyDeleteNo, no, to make the bits on the skirt
DeleteThese comments are really funny and I have to agree. Neck up and accessories are lovely but the in-between is a puzzle.
ReplyDeleteShe can wear one sleeve, feathers or whatever she wants. She is always radiant, beautiful and regal!
ReplyDeletewhat a horrible outfit...she needs to fire whoever advise her of the outfit...my goodness...
ReplyDeleteThis one is really weird.
ReplyDeleteAnother bad choice for Maxima !!! Horrible outfit !!!! In this case she has lost the sense of elegance and fashion !!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess she does it this way: she finds something that works for her (pastel colours/blush/nude, interesting skirt, fascinator with a "twist", asymmetrical top), then works on from there, upgrades / amplifies it when she gets used to it or bored by it and - as she has the money and the "stage" - she sometimes goes over the top and doesn`t even notice it. This could - and does sometimes - happen to some of us too.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, this could happen to us, but not to the queen of holland that gets our tax money to be invested in her advice. The last time she is only showing off, something that the dutch deeply disaprove.
DeleteDoe normaal Maxima, dan doe je al gek genoeg
I understand - not being Dutch and living in a country with no royal family, I hadn`t thought of it this way. Would you mind translating the last sentence - I only understand some of the words?
DeleteStunning first photo... Picture frame, lovely couple, gorgeous outfit flittering in the wind!
