On September 22, 2017, King Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a Sweden Dinner at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The aim of the Sweden Dinner is to recognise people who have made significant local, regional or national contributions. The traditional Sweden dinner was attended by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip. |
Still love her earrings!
ReplyDeleteOh, Crown Princess Victoria wears a dress from HM, I recognize it! It's very nice and fits her well. Even the queen is beautiful in her colorful creation!
ReplyDeleteAnd the bling in her bun!
ReplyDeleteI like Victoria's dress very much - it's simple but flows nicely and shows off her summer tan.
ReplyDeleteI want to like Queen Silvia's dress - I do like the material and the colour - but she looks like a giant purple Quality Street chocolate.
El vestido de Victoria es muy bonito, juvenil y le sienta muy bien.
ReplyDeletePor contra, el de Silvia es un saco sin forma, muy feo, excepto el color.
Fantastic dress on Victoria...soft, romantic and shows off her deep tan. Queen Silvia's dress has beautiful color but its too tent-like.
ReplyDeletebeautiful dress. magnifique
ReplyDeleteagree with every word
ReplyDeleteVictoria: wow!
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks more like a brazilian woman than a swedish one...she took from her maternal side
ReplyDeleteVictoria does not have any Swedish side really. Actually prince Daniel is the very first really Swedish part of that whole royal family. The first Bernadotte was French, his spousee also French, then there was plenty of German blood from different families and some British (Princess Margareth) blood. No Swedish blood at all.
DeleteInteresting: a future as queen of sweden ant not a single drop of swedish blood....the nonsense of certain monarchies...
DeleteSame with Greece, there has never been a drop of Greek blood in the 'ex royal' family.
DeleteMay I ask what Swedish blood is? I think it's more important to look at where someone is brought up, in what country, language and culture to see if they know they're country. I'm pretty sure her blood looks quite like the rest of ours. 😊 Anyway... She does look beautiful this night and the dress suits her very well.
DeleteLizzie..at least the ex monarchy in greece is..EX!
DeleteMrs M we all agree that blood is blood in every individual on this earth... i was just pointing out to that small contradiction that, from what i read, goes on from centuries...
DeleteGrazia; but that is the same with almost all royal families. For example in Norge royal family comes from the very same Bernadotte ancestors without anybody born Norwegian until Sonja. Same with Belgie, queen Mathilde is the first born Belgian. Old days if the branch of ruling royal family was going to end, people choose somebody else from other royal families (or other like Bernadotte general) to continue as king. Also the same families were getting married with each others again and again, wives were almost always coming from foreign royal families. Most families have big part German blood because there were so many minor royal families in German to choose spouses about. Even today almost all European royals are relatives with each others.
DeleteI think in Denmark they have real Danish family ruling. Also they got some ordinary Danish blood when kings started to be too mad to rule. Some courtier made his duty and voila, princes become more healthy.
Victoria is radiant. Love how happy they look.
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks very lovely, even her bun looks OK. But what on earth is the queen wearing??? so shapeless
ReplyDeleteThe Queen is wearing an exquisite pearl necklace with a beautiful amethyst focal clasp. The dress is just an accessory.
Deletelove this dress and Victoria!
