On July 07, 2017, Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Charlotte Casiraghi attended the pre-wedding dinner for Prince Ernst August and Ekaterina Malysheva at the Brauhaus Restaurant in Hannover. Prince Ernst August of Hanover got married with Russian fashion designer Ekaterina Malysheva with a simple civil ceremony in Hanover City Hall on Thursday. Today (on July 8), the religious wedding ceremony will take place at the Marktkirche church in Hannover. |
On July 6, German Prince Ernst August Jr. of Hanover and Russian designer Ekaterina Malysheva got married with a simple ceremony held at the new city hall in Hanover, Germany. The son of Prince Ernst August of Hanover Sen., who is married to Princess Caroline of Monaco, is related to several royal houses in Europe. The House of Hanover is a German royal dynasty that also ruled the United Kingdom between 1714 and 1901. |
Did you know this? Prince Ernst August's father was married to Princess Caroline of Monaco. His half-sister is Caroline's daughter Alexandra. Also, Ernst August is a male-line descendent of George III of Great Britain and a descendent through the female line of Queen Victoria. He is in the line of succession to the British throne. 😀😁
ReplyDeleteWinnie your facts are not correct, Caroline and Ernst August are still married but are living apart. Also Ernst August WAS 385th in the line of succession to the British throne until he married Caroline, after what he dropped off.

DeleteActually Blondini Prince Ernst August is in line of succession, so your facts are not correct. The UK Succession to the Crown Act 2013 reinstated those who had lost their place through marriage to a Catholic.
DeleteVery interesting. I knew Prince Ernst sought the Queens permission to marry Princess Caroline, but never really considered his position in the line of succession. Interesting about the UK Succession to the Crown Act, I gather this would mean that Prince Michael of Kent's position has been restored also.
DeleteUnder the new laws those now far down the pecking order in the line of succession no longer need the Queens permission to marry, I believe it is only the first 6 in line who need permission to keep their place now.
DeleteYes the first 6 in line need permission of the Monarch to marry and stay in line. That means Prince Harry will need permission. The 2013 Act also means the eldest child has precedence over the next child, whatever the gender. Prince Michael of Kent is now back in line.
DeleteIs the bride wearing a dressing gown for her civil wedding?
ReplyDeleteAnd she's marginally the best dressed. Oh dear.
DeleteThe bride looks like expecting a baby...? That civil wedding dress is a bit strange for my taste, but well...
DeleteEt bien toute la famille était d'un chic!!!!! très franchement Beatrice et Charlotte nous ont habitué à beaucoup beaucoup mieux que ça. On se demande ou se trouve le mariage princier???
ReplyDeleteToo much Hanover for a Jacobite supporter like me...
ReplyDeleteThey certainly didn't dress up very much.
A lovely casual family affair. I don't mind Charlotte's black dress and sandals but I prefer Beatrice and Alexandra's smart casual trousers and top looks.
ReplyDeleteThey celebrated in the evening in their own Royal Brewery-House in Hannover, b.t.w. :)
ReplyDeleteWho is that guy in red shirts? I think I fallen in love
