For those who wanted to see tatiana smiling...here you have it
ReplyDeleteGrazia, she still has to go on with training ;)
DeleteDear Editor, I guess the first pictures are just around the hotel, where the guests changed their dresses before the reception then following at the Marienburg, right? And maybe they just had some refreshments before?
DeleteAgree. That smile isn't very convincing.
DeleteYes, but most of the time she shows her vinegar face, it's a pity.
DeleteBut she really nailed it fashionwise at this wedding, this is another nice dress for her, even if the sleeves are a bit too voluminous.
say 'chesse'
DeleteThe Greeks are an attractive family. The ladies all look nice. The hotel looks like it is in a tatty shopping centre.
ReplyDeletePaddy, not like the "Middleton-Marriage", then. (I thought the same, b.t.w....)
DeleteBeatrice´s dress makes her boobs look like they are miles apart. Weird.
ReplyDeleteAlexandra needs some make-up and accessories for a more polished look. Isn´t she 17-18 by now? She looks like 13.
I´m a bit tired of watching the Greeks attend parties.
Who is the lady in the cherry blossom dress? She´s gorgeous, although the dress is a bit OTT.
Well the Greeks have nothing to be royal for. Their country doesn't have a royal family so they can't be royal really, can they? They shouldn't be using any titles. All they seem to do is attend parties and flaunt their wealth. Thankfully their cousins the Danish royals tend to stay away, sensibly, and even the Spanish royals don't seem to mix with them too much. The cherry blossom dress was just wonderful!
DeleteIt's like the president of the United States, you keep the title for the rest of your life. A few'deposed' kings from Europe, i.e. Bulgaria, Albania, Yugoslavia, all kept their title of king or prince. The Greeks are living in London on their family's remaining wealth and hob-nobbing with British royalty, glitzy pop stars and socialites. "Crown Prince and Crown Princess" is very laughable indeed, since there is no crown. Victor-Emmanuel of Italy kept his title until his death, long after he was forced out. And so it goes, with those 'have-beens'.
DeleteThe former Greek royal family also have current Danish royal titles and are members of that family.
DeleteThe lady in the cherry blossom dress is the fiancée of the groom's younger brother. She is a beauty.
DeleteA little up date is needed I see. It's custom that these ex royals are refereed to with their old title even if they are no longer in use and the greek have royal titles. They have danish titles. Pavlos is HH Prince of Denmark.
DeletePolicy is that if they were kings and queens once they remind to be ones. That is why Constantine is still a king and Anne Marie a queen. Pavlos was crown prince of Greece before their exile so he reminds to have that tittle. He is also prince of Denmark but because that is minor tittle to crown prince, that is not often mentioned. His brothers and sister are all called as prince/princess of Greece and Denmark. Pavlos´s kids are never going to be crown prince/princess but just prince/princess. Marie Chantal did marry crown prince, so she is crown princess.
DeleteBut these persons have their rights to these titles even when not ruling anything. As well there are masses of princes and princesses for example in many old German royal families. Every royal family have their own policy how distant people remain these tittles.
The funny thing is that there is not a single drop of Greek blood in this Greek 'royal' line, down from Christian IX of Denmark, whose son Wilhelm became George I of Greece, then Constantine I, then Paul, all of whom were married to either Russian, Prussian or German women. Constantine II married Anne-Marie of Denmark. Through marriages, they are related to every existing and deposed royal house in Europe, but 'Greek' they are not!!!
DeleteLizzie as well other royal houses have not at all blood of their own country. Take Swedish (and Norway) Bernadottes, first Bernadotte king was French marshall, after that came German, Russian and British blood. No Swedish (or Norvegian) blood at all before this new generation spouses Daniel and Sofia (Sonja and Mette Marit).
DeleteTrue
Delete"Little" Alexandra looks lovely here.
ReplyDeleteStriking similarity between the Groom and his Mum!
Who is the young Lady in blue with the cape around her shoulders, standing in the court of the castle? Any help around? (She looks very good.)
ReplyDeleteAlexandra has a boyfriend yet looks like a child. Quite odd. She doesn't have to look tarty but at least wear some minimal makeup.
ReplyDeleteThat cherry blossom dress is the best thing in this whole wedding. The wearer is very attractive. Anyone know who she is?
Her name is Alessandra de Osma. She is Peruvian but she's been living in Madrid, for many years. She and Christian of Hannover are going to marry next year in Peru.
DeleteThank you, Sylvia.
DeleteThat Erdem dress looks good on both Pippa and Marie-Chantal. The only difference seems to be the sleeve length. Pippa's comes all the way to the wrist and M-C seems not to come down that far. I think I prefer the longer sleeves like Pippa's version. But the dress really looks nice on both ladies.
ReplyDeleteI love Tatiana's red dress. Looks really nice on her. Tatiana reminds me of a gypsy. She definitely has her own style, long tassel earrings, flat sandals, the gal knows what she likes.
The Erdem dress has too much going on, it´s too busy. And the one thing I´d remove first is that horizontal line running around the hips. I don´t understand the placement of that line, at all. So unflattering.
DeleteCrown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie Chantal, hmm … ?! They were married many years after he has lost his title CP of Greece. She has never been a CP .
ReplyDeleteBut both Pavlos and the groom Ernst August have roots back in the Royal House of Denmark.
Pavlos was born as crown prince and that he will be until he dies.
DeleteSeule la fiancée du marié tire son épingle du jeu, très jolie. Les autres, Grèce et Grimaldi, c'est sans changement !
ReplyDeleteMC has all the money in the world....why does she wear the most ugly dresses? Of course, they are all designer dresses, but she should take a cue from the ladies of the British Royal Family, and wear mostly solid colors. Solid colors are so much more becoming, especially with some nice jewels, which I'm sure she has. I hate to say it but sometimes MC dresses sort of tacky!
ReplyDeleteWell perhaps she and that Maria Olympia person have the same idol: Dolly Parton. She once said :"It takes a lot of money to look that cheap!" (Nothing against Dolly, who I admire!)
DeleteLe jeune homme qui accompagne Alexandra est élégant et très attentionné. je les trouve bien tous les deux.
ReplyDeleteBen-Sylvester Strautmann, born 1998, living in Monaco, son of german banker and millionaire...
DeleteSomehow strange to see the Golden Monaco people in a common German mall...
