On the first day of the visit, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended a special reception at the picturesque Orangery in Łazienki Park in Poland. Prince William gave a speech at reception. The Duchess wore a white dress by Polish designer Gosia Baczynska. |
That dress looks very odd in the chest area. I like the very different and interesting design of the dress though, and the necklace is fabulous. But pointy boobs? NO.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the dress is very nice except for the 'pointy boobs'
DeleteI've noticed this quite a lot on Kate's clothes - they are always very ill-fitting in the bosom and give her chest a pointed look. It's been an issue even going back to her wedding day. She needs to wears more empire waisted outfits and perhaps get better undergarments
DeleteThe mannequin also has "pointy boobs." Perhaps this is intended to resemble a futuristic type uniform. It is an interesting contemporary dress and one we've been waiting to see. Still - the posture and the crotch clutch are holding her back.
DeleteI agree with the comments above! I think this dress is a fine masterpiece of art and design and belongs to a'n exhibition, something like that. And a quick look to picture 3... :(
DeleteYes, reminds me of something Madonna wore in the late 80s.
DeleteIt's because her seams go straight into the chest. I can't post pictures in a comment section but if you look back at Kate's wardrobe, a vast majority of her clothing does this.
DeleteSame as her wedding gown with the pointy boobs.
DeleteI like the dress, it's something special! Kate should wear clothes from this polish designer also in the future. She choose great shoes, clutch and necklace to match this dress.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventurous and interesting dress! She looks so much more sophisticated. I like the contrast of the round jewelry with the angles of the dress. My fingers want to feel that fabric, whatever it is.
ReplyDeleteAgree! The details of this dress are really interesting.
DeleteI like this very much - I like the interesting cutting and angular features plus the contrast of the black against white. Hair and jewellery also good. The only thing I'm not keen on are the shoes - I rarely find ankle straps especially flattering, even on the slimmest of legs.
ReplyDeleteOui les brides sur les chevilles coupent la ligne de la jambe.
DeleteOh dear 😨😨
ReplyDeleteOmg!!!her nipples are visible😱.that is so vulgar
ReplyDeleteI can't see her nipples.
DeleteI have always regarded the activities of those barenaked "Femen" -women as goofy. Now I start to understand that the fear of a female breast is more widespread than I thought it is.
DeleteI like the idea of the dress, and the fact that it is a Polish designer. The bust line is a disaster. White does not photograph well, particularly a shiny white fabric, and perhaps she looked less washed out in person. What happened to her new hair do? Back to fussy pompadour chignons already? Finally, I do not think that necklace works at all with this dress. To me, it's a Bohemian take on pearls that would look better with a strapless maxi, on a beach, on a holiday.
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace, not a fan of the 1960's bodice on the dress with the pointed bust line, all in all not a fan of the dress, overall Kate looks lovely as she is beautifully groomed with her hair styled the way it is and her jewellery etc.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it is the starkness of the white dress or if Kate is tired, but she looks tired, especially in photo 3.
Very interesting dress, I am glad to see something risky and unusual. Love the shoes and the necklace.
ReplyDeleteNot crazy about the hairstyle, although sofisticated, it ages her.
Agree about the fashion risk and aoplaud her for highlighting a Polish designer. A little less height on the updo and I would like the hair more.
DeleteKate looking a little pale. She needs a hint of a tint of skin colour. Something to give her a glow. Not a criticism more an observation.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if it's the dress, or the hair, but both together, is a little ageing on her. She's an attractive woman, great figure, and has height to her advantage, and what seems to be an unlimited clothing budget, and yet, somehow it seems it doesn't always come together for her !
Annabel, I agree with your last statement "what seems to be an unlimited clothing budget, and yet, somehow it seems it doesn't always come together for her !". She does not have the body to carry them off properly, or the natural grace. Too stiff and trying too hard, unlike Sophie or CP Mary. Yes, I included Sophie- she has a great shape and such a nice and natural ease about her.
DeleteI like the dress, but it is the first one in which Kate looks having at least 2 extra kilos and not skinny. 🎎
ReplyDeleteI am growing increasingly offended at the nature of these comments.
ReplyDeleteWhile personal taste in clothing is ok to express, these remarks often have a sharp, critical flavour that is not just about the clothing. I imagine if that were me, or a loved one that was being so harshly judged and it hurts.
I agree 100% with you madibe. THe bashing of the Duchess is getting out of hand and Helena should do something about it.
DeleteI do like the pointy bust it looks elegant and it gives the dress a slightly retro look
ReplyDeletechristina cordula dit toujours: petite poitrine, maxi décolleté. kate est une vraie reine des shopping
ReplyDeleteI really commend her for choosing a Polish designer. It's a unique dress and I really like it. There is 1950s vibe to it, but with an edge, which is really great.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! It's elegant, different and kind of retro. And I don't mind the pointy bust.
ReplyDeleteWOW dress, radiant, stylish Duchess. Very interesting dress. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe lady in red, I asume she is the first lady of Poland, deserves a special mention. She looked very elegant. The dress is magnificent, colour, pattern and, fabrics. Very proper one for such an occasion.
