Told about that several times before, ha ha. Is she going braless now? Not classy. (And the dress is Granny-style in my eyes, not suitable! She is still a'n attractive woman, but makes herself older than her years. What a pity.) Yes: Party-time in Sweden? Madeleine, busy Mom in London, is popping over! Of course with a new outfit like we all would do. She loves! voluptious skirts, but chooses mostly never good combinations with the right tops or blouses. What did I told you?
Congratulations, Victorie! Outstanding!! Alltogether really fit for a Crown-Princess! Even the hairstyle. Madeleine would have looked nicer in that "Sjoestedt"-dress! than that (although a lovely one) white Granny-style blouse. Beautiful, but to heavy, dark make-up. Not necessary.
Victoria's dress is fantastic, I also like her hairdo like this very much, it makes her more feminine. The only thing that isn't so perfect IMO are those sandals.
Victoria´s dress is like sculpture! She looks amazing! Queen has interesting dress. About Madeline, the skirt is just WOW but the granny shirt spoils it totally. She has also too harsh make-up to such a clothes.
I agree about the make-up - I thought that both princesses had rather harsh, dark make-up that doesn´t really look good. I think though that in Victoria´s case, the make-up is somewhat in line with this very modern, futuristic, almost excentric dress, whereas in Madeleine´s case the make-up is in extreme contrast to her outfit which is soft, feminine, light, princessy etc. So, her eye make-up that is anything but ends up clashing big time.
The winner is... Victoria. And that´s despite the dress looking like tinfoil at the bottom and lacking a few cm of fabric at the hem, unfortunately creating a peep view of her ugly shoes. But the hair, the earrings, the bodice and the wonderful neckline... Madeleine´s dress is a weird combo. Save the skirt for a wedding, and the blouse for some great auntie´s birthday. Both parts look out of place at a prize gala, let alone together. Silvia disappoints me here. This is... dark, uninspiring, shapeless and aging her a lot. If you need a massive shawl to complete your outfit, chances are your dress is not great.
All ladies look stunning. I like Silvia's dress teamed with that pink/lilac shawl. Finally Victoria left her hair down. Would like to see her hairdo from the back. Her dress looks like its wrinkled but its the fabric. Madeleine's skirt looks gorgeous and it looks very lovely with that white blouse (I think original top would have been too baring for an official event).
I'm so happy that CP Victoria went with a half updo instead of the strict bun she usually chooses. She looks nice, feminine and so much younger. Princess Madeleine is so beautiful I can't find words. Her hair is perfection and she always chooses really flattering hairstyles. She just always finds a way to impress me with her hairstyle. I also like her dress. A bit bohemian, I think she wanted something extra that catches attention and it totally works for me. The Queen looks elegant as always, I think Madeleine inherited her gracefullnes and charm. Where is Princess Sofia? I would have loved to see her on this event.
Victoria looks wonderful - the dress is gorgeous and her hair looks lovely. It almost looks like she is going to a different event than her mother and sister. Madeleine's outfit is both too princessy (skirt) and too granny (blouse) at the same time. Bad combination. Sylvia looks meh. I agree the dress should have been able to stand on its own without a huge shawl.
Victoria's wedges/heels go waaaaaay back. Or they are new and look like an older pair. This is always my favorite event for Victoria because she ventures outside her norm. I look forward to a better view of her hair.
Ah, so mostly lovely. Queen Silvia's gown is very suitable and pretty for her, especially with the accent of the pink shawl. Victoria's choice is just stunning a true sculpture, striking. Madeleine's outfit is really two separate ideas, both nice, just not together. The flowered skirt seems like it should be on a girl of 16, and she isn't that anymore. Her blouse needs something more tailored, don't you think?
Victoria looks amazing with heavy makeup and brave fashion choices. Lots of people noticed that she looks best once a year at Polar music event. Vic and Dan look soooo i love, it is visible. They are a wonderful and inspiring couple. It's sad that Chris isn't here. And happy birthday to little Nicolas btw. :)
I honestly do not care for Victoria's dress or shoes. The hair and accessories are great however! Glad to see her hair down, but honestly, I like it better up. Her hair doesn't fit her well.
Victoria looks fantastic here. What a difference when she doesn't pull her hair back severely and pull it into a bun. She could use different shoes without a platform heel for this beautiful dress. And a little light pink lipstick would brighten her face. Madeleine's blouse is not flattering although her face is beautiful as always.
I don't like Victoria's dress, it looks wrinkled and too busy, I like her hair loose but still is pulled too tight. Her shoes are horrid. I like Madeleine's skirt but it would be better with a simpler blouse or the way the model wears it. The queen, a big fail. I didn't care for Trudi's outfit either.
Victoria looks stunning, she can certainly rock a glamour frock!
I don't like Madeleine's ensemble, the blouse and skirt just don't look quite right together in my opinion. I also think the skirt is a little "young" for Madeleine, that material, that dress would look beautiful on a young lady in her late teens or early twenties.
As for Queen Silvia's gown I don't hate it, but I don't particularly like it either.
Victoria looks stunning, she took a risk and won. This dress in different and fits her like a glove, I generally hate platform shoes, but this pair really goes with the theme. Madelaine' blouse and skirt are both lovely separately, if she had paired the skirt with a very tailored, boat neck top in emerald green, it could have been a winner. By the way I truly don't see the need to be snarky about her role or whether she attends certain events, after all this is a light weight fashion blog, and not a courtroom.
Madeleine and Victoria both look very beautiful. But there was no need for so heavy makeup for both of them! Victoria's hair were down for a change. It is good. But from the front this hairdo looks weird and lopsided. Her dress looks also weird, like it was made of something recycled. But she shows lots of bare skin, I'm sure male audience appreciate it ;) The same can not be said about Madeleine who was covered to her throat! Again! She's a young woman and showing some bare skin isn't a sin. What has happened to that Madeleine who wore that sexy red Nobel gown??? Okay, I like Madeleine's soft and romantic hairdo and it matched with her outfit. But honestly, that blouse was meant for the women 20 years senior! Queen Silvia looks very elegant in her floral dress.
É sempre um prazer ver a família real sueca. Tenho pena que a Princesa Sofia não esteja presente :(( Adoro os looks: leves frescos e bonitos! O meu favorito é o da Princesa Vitoria :))
I recall that Madeleine wore a voluminous pink dress to one of the Nobel Prize ceremonies where the top and the skirt also didn't really work together. The over-the-top princessy look seems to be her go-to choice but she is a beautiful woman and doesn't need the fussiness in her clothes.
I love Victoria's look from top to toe - the dress and hair are wonderful, I think the shoes work and I think her make up is fine. I also think she's quite an attractive woman which is absolutely irrelevant to whether she is fulfilling her role well or a nice person.
I like Madeleine's skirt and I even like the blouse but not together - if she wanted a plain top I think the bow is too fussy and white needs to match skirt. Too much foundation for me - maybe it just stands out against the white. I think Madeleine is pretty bit I don't find her as stunning as other people seem to - I find her look a bit beauty pageant.
Victoria, WOW et encore WOW! Mon coup de coeur!
ReplyDeleteAmazing skirt from Ida Sjöstedt!
ReplyDeleteSorry to say, but it is high time for Queen Silvia to go shopping for a support bra.

Victoria is fantastic! She looks younger with this hairdo. Really flattering.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteP. Madeleine has spoilt the dress "mixing" the skirt with a white shirt.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteAgree!
DeleteVictoria looks GREAT! Silvia also looks lovely.

ReplyDeleteVictoria looks amazing! Please please keep wearing her hair like this. She looks so much more soft and feminine.
ReplyDeleteHow nice that Madeleine was there playing princess and gracing the peasants with her regal presence.
That's hilarious about Madeleine. She only pops up for the grand events it seems.
DeleteAs far as I can guess, she has no reason to 'pop up' other than for the grand events, she has a life elsewhere

ReplyDeleteMs Electra, thank you! These heels are from 2010 polar prize. My favorite year for Victoria at this event.🤓 thanks for keeping my fashion buzz going!

ReplyDeleteI don't like the length of Victorias dress, but she really looks very good in that dress.
ReplyDeleteAlso Queen Silvia looks fantastic.
Madeleine.. well.. I like the blouse with the bow, but I don't like it in combination with that skirt.
I also like the skirt a lot but definately not together with that top.
skirt with that flowers and the bow are wayyyyyyyyy to much together
I dont like victorias outfit but she looks radiant!! 😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteThe queen looks great. Madeleine could do better.
Can I say how stunning victoria looks with her hair down??!! 😱💚
You sure can!
DeleteShe looks amazing. She Has such great hair. She should do this more often 👌👌
