Passé 6 ans les smocks ce n'est pas terrible,Et sur les hanches c'est affreux !
ReplyDeleteShe wear shorter dress than usual. But it is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteInteresting hair.
Beautiful? I think you're the only person who thinks that
DeleteCan't say I'm a fan of the hair, it may have been haute when Queen Victoria wore her hair like that but that was 150years ago.
DeleteI find this dress boring and dark, it would have been more elegant below the knee, to do away with the ice skater look. The hairstyle contributes to the granny effect. Not a good look for Mary oday.
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought, too. She looks so much better with a skirt at or below the knee. This one seems out of proportion, too baggy in the blouse, and her hair droopy parted in the middle and sagging on the sides. It almost seems that today she crossed over into middle age.
DeleteUnflattering granny look on Mary.
ReplyDeleteWonder why the queen needs such a big bag...
Mary makes seldom mistakes but this one is miss. Better luck next time!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think this is the first time I've seen Mary's knees. It's unusual for Mary to be off the mark this much.
DeleteNah,this isn´t good. I don´t mind the colour or print on Mary´s dress, nor the length (which I think is fine in summer). It´s the long sleeves that look wrong here. And that terrible terrible hairstyle. Granny indeed.
ReplyDeleteMy beautiful Grandmother said "if you keep anything long enough, it will come back into fashion". Gran you were right, shirring is back in fashion, although Royals are wearing shirred garments now, not little girls in summer frocks and teenage girls in shirred tank tops and cut of jeans way back on those hot summer days in the early/mid 70's.
ReplyDeleteExactly what I thought and what my Mom said!!! Ha, ha! (Nevertheless: bad look for Mary who mostly outshines all and everybody)
DeleteQueen Margrethe has the best look of the two in this occasion
ReplyDeleteQueen Margrethe has a nice look, Mary - this is not good = bad!
